What is the best way to watch IU basketball this season without cable? Anyone with experience cutting the cord and still getting most if not ALL games through a stream like Hulu, etc...

Any input is greatly appreciated. Don't want to miss a bounce this season if I can help it...

Thanks

IMO, YouTubeTV is great for sports. I pay extra for BTN Plus and ESPN+ which covers almost everything I am ever looking for. The only thing it doesn't have is the NFL Network, which is available for streaming but is kind of expensive - about $30-35/mo on most streaming services. So I miss a few NFL games but can always go to a bar if there's one I really want to see.

I use YouTube TV. I work nights and therefore miss a lot of games live by YouTube TV's recording function is really easy to use.
Used Hulu last basketball season. It was fine. Don't remember if it got BTN+ as well as BTN. Trying YouTube Live TV this season. It does get BTN+ but doesn't announce it on schedule ahead of time. Just gotta wait and voila it is on a channel you can then see on the guide. YouTube Live also gets a lot of other sports channels. $50/month.

Try one or the other for 5 days or so free...then switch. That's the cool thing about these. With all the options one could go a month switching between different short bundles w/o cable. Just better have a good internet speed and something like Roku.

BTN Plus isn't carried by YouTubeTV - it's available through most streaming services - Roku, Amazon, etc or through the BTN app

I love Youtube TV but no History Channel so it is Hulu for me. Both are very good. Just stay far far away from Directv Now.

I had Directv for years. I liked everything but the price, which kept going up - I was paying close to $200 /month. It had something like 300 channels, I probably watch 15-20

Direct TV is awesome, except for bad storms which has yet to F me in a big sports game. It will this year I am sure. I am a NFL addict and need Sunday ticket. NEED it. My bill was like $259 this past month, but that is with an installment of the auto charge for Sunday ticket. I think it is three months in a row. I also have satellite internet because I live in the sticks. No streaming for me.

For those w/ YoutubeTV, you can use your yttv sign in credentials on ESPN3/WatchESPN app and watch BTN+ games. Same w/SECN+ and ACCN.

I said Directv Now. Two completely different things.

You are correct and I missed that.

BTW, DirectV Now is being converted to ATT Now. I'm skeptical of streaming TV services. Eventually they may wind up as expensive especially once pay to bump up the speed of the internet for video streaming.

Well if you have a Roku or another device to stream the NFL Sunday Ticket channel, you can use your DirectV login credentials to watch games via streaming in the case a storm takes out the dish. I'll have to check but On Demand after the games are played. You can probably do this for most any channel.

I'm sure the price of streamed TV will rise. But there's no equipment required and no contract so why not save $150 / month in the meantime?
