My point is, if we can get one really solid QB to come through and lead us to a bowl game, we should be setting ourselves up for further success in recruiting QBs in the future. Purdue has gotten 3 Elite 11 QBs and the Kentucky Mr. Football in the last few years, all with sub par records worse than ours.Well, purdue has only had 3 elite 11 guys, and their most recent 2 (Blough and Appleby) are 2 of the more headscratching inclusions as both were very lightly recruited (solid recruits for sure, but far from top flight). Orton was their other one, back in 2000.
