I guess I didn't realize our stats have been so much better in conference play. Is it because we played a lot better teams pre-con? Or did we actually improve as the season wore on? Either way (or a combination), it's pretty much across the board including fielding percentage. Glad to see it. The early part of our schedule kinda wore me out.

Anyone know if brenczeiwski (sp?) hurt as Wiggins is dh per IU baseball X post

From the OSU game notes:

Junior Group is the Key in Omaha
Carter Mathison, Brock Tibbitts and Josh Pyne will play their 9th career Big Ten Tournament game on Thursday afternoon. In their careers, the trio has 583 hits, 79home runs, 442 RBIs and 145 doubles. Those three can be the key to a long run this week.
That reminds me.....I haven't seen it talked about on here, but Mathison went through senior day. Does anyone know his situation? Is he graduating early, or planning on transferring? I can't imagine him getting drafted, batting below .250.

Per D1Baseball:

Indiana is creeping up our bubble ladder and is in the winner’s bracket at the Big Ten tourney along with Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan. Nebraska and Illinois are locks to make the NCAA tournament, so anyone but the Huskers or Illini winning the B1G tourney would mean someone from another conference is getting left out on Selection Monday.

Here are their bubble teams and where they rank with IU their first out:

61. Georgia Tech

62. Northeastern

63. Troy

64. James Madison

65. Indiana

66. California

67. Xavier

68. Cincinnati

69. Louisville

70. St. John’s

71. Georgia Southern

72. Old Dominion
