I'll give you that it's not as big a story getting as much attention as George Floyd did. It's getting coverage -- but there are degrees of that, clearly.
But a few things...
First, George Floyd died in the process of being brought into custody by police. And, according to the courts, he was killed by the cop deciding to place his knee and body weight on Floyd's neck for an extended period of time.
This was a skirmish between two kids, and did not involve police. It was brutal and tragic, of course. But it didn't involve law enforcement.
Second, the Floyd incident was captured on film and that film went viral. And, because of that, most people who viewed that video (including myself) believed that Chauvin crossed the line of what was necessary to restrain Floyd.
This was not captured on film. And, even if it had been, it sounds like the sort of "heat of the moment" thing that, sadly, happens a lot.
