King needs a great deal of development and if a true frosh wins the job, that's probably not a good thing.

That's not me, which I've explained to others. Tiring to keep dealing with this, especially when it gets thrown out in the way it does.
I can't help you there since I haven't read him, but it's not me. Can't say anymore about it.
I don't know if it's a horrible thing if Ramsey were to come in and win the job. It's happened before at Power 5 schools. The only issues with that is his supporting cast. RB needs a major influx of talent, especially if Howard goes as expected. We should be very good, but raw at OL and WR should be a strength. If Howard were to stay, then I'd feel much better about Ramsey having a shot at it because he'd be surrounded by enough talent.
But it's all hypothetical at this point. I really do expect both Diamont and King to see time next season.

I haven't seen him play in person, so I can't comment specifically on him. I have a friend in Cincy who's seen him once and said he was a nice player but wasn't sure he was a Big Ten player.

Now, it does make sense to save King's RS if that is the strategy, and one can only hope that his, or other's, upside is greater than Zander's. If not, we could be in some serious trouble next year.
However, with assessment's like these, sometimes it helps to wait until a QB has some time under his belt as a starter before "slotting him" as poor. I remember Chappell's first action when Kellen Lewis went down against Northwestern. Tight game. Needed a clutch spell...and he throws a pick 6 first play to basically end our chances that day. Based on that, it would have been easy to slot Ben...but lo and behold, he became a weapon we wish we had a few more years with after he gained some experience.
I don't know who the guy will be next year...and maybe Zander can develop a little more...but I agree that we better hope one of these Freshman (RS or True) steps up and has game, or we get some other unusual JUCO or D2 transfer who can play.

I can see the appeal of UM for Peters but if he goes there it would be at least a couple of years before he saw action and probably will get recruited over. If he came to IU he would have a great chance to start right away or after a redshirt year.

It's based solely on the few times I've seen him at practice. He wasn't very impressive. Maybe he'll turn out much better than he's looked, but there's probably a reason he wasn't heavily recruited by power 5 schools.

Won't Peters have just as good a shot at Michigan? They lose Ruddock this year as a 5th year grad. I think that this ship has sailed.
