AT's candidacy was spiked by our very own Lee Corso (along with Bryant Gumble) on a national sports show they co-hosted that aired on Saturday evening...If AT can't win a Heisman at IU, ain't nobody winning a Heisman at IU.
Gator Bowl was Kalen DeBoer still calling playsPeyton Ramsey was a 2-star. I’d take another Peyton Ramsey right now. The kid at Purdue was a former walk-on and was one of the best QBs in the conference.
The QBs we have are very serviceable. We need a damn offensive line that don’t play like a bunch of cream puffs. Sheridan’s offense was obscene on every level. Even going back to the Gator Bowl and we were ripping off big chunks running the ball and he then figured it’s a good idea to abandon the run and rely on his QB with a shoulder separation?
He was,, but he's not the one who didn't call a TO before halftime to run a play into the end zone.Gator Bowl was Kalen DeBoer still calling plays
We have to constantly upgrade the talent level - either thru recruiting or the portal! If a current player has a doom or negative response- that’s on himI had a thought about all these guys entering the portal.
Do the current players of a team, us in this case, watch the portal? Do they see a good player at their position enter the portal and then wonder how secure their job is?
Some players would respond by trying harder but some may have a more doom or negative response and it reflects adversely on their performance and development.
I certainly do not know, I just was never in a position where I saw the bosses recruiting for my job.
I hope we have players that are always up to a challenge and not looking to see if they may lose their spot on the starting roster. If we have players unwilling to respond to a challenge of a new player at their spot then they aren't really a player I want at IU.We have to constantly upgrade the talent level - either thru recruiting or the portal! I guess u r right. Sort of a gladiator approach. We have to constantly upgrade the talent level - either thru recruiting or the portal! If a current player has a doom or negative response- that’s on him
Likely Correct.I will be shocked if Bazelak is not the game one starter.
I’m sure he wasn’t guaranteed the starting job when he committed but I’d imagine he was told it was his to lose.
The kid is not coming here to hold a clip board.
I doubt Bazelak did, but I do think that's why Tuttle came here.Likely Correct.
But if someone wins the job….
Is it possible he picked us for his degree/grad school?
