Add in a IU team that wins the B1G and plays well in the play-offs.
AT's candidacy was spiked by our very own Lee Corso (along with Bryant Gumble) on a national sports show they co-hosted that aired on Saturday evening...
Corso hyped the fact that he was held under a 100 yards (while knowing full well how Bucket games are played) as the reason he wasn't worthy (and Gumble parroted his every third word)... Scribes with a actual vote (most of whom had never seen him play) listened to that evening show and voted accordingly...
Never was someone more deserving so royally screwed... Lee seems like an otherwise good guy but that was just a "get even" move on his part that did AT irreparable harm...
Corso should Still be ashamed of himself... Gumble was just being Gumble: a know nothing talking head a-- h- le.

I had a thought about all these guys entering the portal.
Do the current players of a team, us in this case, watch the portal? Do they see a good player at their position enter the portal and then wonder how secure their job is?
Some players would respond by trying harder but some may have a more doom or negative response and it reflects adversely on their performance and development.
I certainly do not know, I just was never in a position where I saw the bosses recruiting for my job.

We have to constantly upgrade the talent level - either thru recruiting or the portal! If a current player has a doom or negative response- that’s on him
I hope we have players that are always up to a challenge and not looking to see if they may lose their spot on the starting roster. If we have players unwilling to respond to a challenge of a new player at their spot then they aren't really a player I want at IU.
