ATF Just Made a Bunch of People Felons in Waiting.

Thanks. I'll make my pop go through them at some point. I'm not worried about it. Hooky just triggered the question
I thought I would follow up on this, making sure you know I am not clowning around on this one. I am not looking for anything expensive nor cheap. I do like to pick up something the just grabs my attention every once in a while. So if you have something you would get rid of, I may like to put it in my collection. It sounds like the FIL was an enthusiast, I appreciate that.

Well, I just took he last two ex's and reversed the #'s. It's just a shot in the dark to change the luck. ??? who knows. 🤷‍♂️
I don't know you that well, so I was worried that you were describing a 15 year old boy. Happy to read the clarification!

If you're gonna wish, wish big just in case it comes true.

I got some nice burl that'll be ready in 2046. Could we work out some terms?

I am going to say while huge looking at the bark it's not great burl. Great burl is really tight and that looks like a lot of random notts to me. I have a sycamore I will look for a pic I saw
Sycamore Burl? I've never even heard of that. Pic's would be cool, but I'd also take a Geiger counter just to be sure it's safe.

I just sold an 1860 0val pretty nice burl bowl. I have a 1850 one that is 18-19 inches round and just tight tiny burl to the edges . I had a 24 inch yrs ago I should have kept. My two worlds collide antiques and wood! I dont have a pic but my bowl is pretty impressive.

Doing a little more reading, the ATF is saying that people need to surrender these things to their nearest ATF office. Then they go on to say that it's up to the individual US Attorney Office within each jurisdiction as to whether there will be charges that result from the possession. Even people who went through the entire process and got the final approval from the ATF are being expected to turn them in.

It's just nuckin' futs.

I’m really not informed in this area whatsoever but this sure sounds to me like liberals searching for anyway they can crack down on guns in retribution for Conservatives refusing to consider any legislation whatsoever.

Dude that is wicked cool. That is better $$ than crypto I bet !
I stick with Jackson, Grant and Franklin myself . Whether you even care antique wise that is a great piece of burl ! Likely down 25% from some yrs ago. Never got a price back , at 2k I wouldnt have even asked anymore questions about it, Id have plunked the cash down and ran for the door with it. I like your ribbing @mcmurtry66, I bet though for my busted knuckles, burnt forearms and all no one else on here would. There is an aspect of gambling like Cavanah enjoys on sports but mor ein my own control on that kind of gambling
