I think the big difference is-you won't see a 12-13 game losing streak this year. The team is more cohesive than last. Once Green get back and Rob and Jerome get the rust off, this will be a good team. Race brings a toughness that IU hasn't had in a while. Franklin is more mature than many Jr. players and will get better with experience. It is a huge transition from high school to college basketball. The talent is either equal or superior to what many faced in HS. Trace does what he needs to do without forcing anything. By the end of the year,he will be more ready for Big whatever play. Really no longer 10 teams so they need a more accurate change there.
The defense has to become a consistent factor to stop the long losing streak. The length and the defense and FT shooting. Quit with the psycho babble team has to like each other stuff. We played with a 6'7" center last year.
Yep, Morgan more than held his own all things considered, but his relative success at the 5 kind of distracted fans of how limited IU really was in the post, especially on defense.
Yes. If we can go 6'11", 6'9" 6'7" that is a big upgrade in size. We didn't match up with Iowa, Maryland, and PU. Trayce is a long 6'9". He will alter a lot of shots and block a lot.
We need to win more games.
A lot more games.
Period.
