He should be close to being able to draw social security.

Yes, as long as his expectations were aligned with Cigs and Shanahan. IU has a deep receiver room and he might not be “the guy”. Good receiver when healthy.
Camper would be a good WR to pick up if coaches want him.
He'd be a solid cultch "possession receiver" if we have room for him... Tough dude... I liked him the first time around...
Might not be able/willing to meet his NIL expectations this late in the recruiting process. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him land at Michigan.
I'd take Cam back in a heartbeat. He would be an amazing pickup. I think Omar could play in the slot.
A bigger concern would be whether we have enough scholarships available to consider him...
Last I read we only had 1 to give... If we decide to oversign (which is smart considering you usually lose 1 or 2 to the Spring Portal) then I'd still be surprised if we bring in more than 3...
We appear to have a greater need at OL and LB than at Receiver... (just my take, no one else's [in articles written])...
I don’t disagree. Especially in regards to OL. However, I don’t think we necessarily can find a LB that becomes a significant impact player this late. At least not one of notable difference than some of the young players we have there. Whereas Camper would turn our WR corps from very good to potentially great and deep. A lot of teams have holes, but teams that consistently show up at the top have a deep roster of talented skill players. Go for broke on one of these ND OLinemen and take a shot at Camper. Then go bargain hunting for LB depth this spring.

Interesting because Cam had actually declared for the NFL draft on Saturday night.
In seeing this, Boise head coach said:
“Cam Camper is in a different situation (than McCoy) because this last year was his fifth year in college and next year would be his sixth year,” Danielson said. “So we’re still working through that with Cam. I talk with Cam a lot, and he’s working through (declaring for the NFL Draft) or coming back, but to come back there are still some things we’re working through with the NCAA. It’s not as simple as A’Marion’s situation.”

Cam blossomed at Boise. I do like the look of our room again for next year anyway.

Cam left a program with no OL and a transferring starting QB. He had received terrible service but kept a great attitude while also fighting through some injuries. Again, Cam could definitely help us at the goal line, third downs, and as a deep threat.
