Anyone see Billy Joel nd Sting last night?

It was a really good show. I thought acoustics would be bad at Lucas but thought they were fine. Both of them still have good voices and can still hit the high notes. Billy is a total entertainer, beside singing and piano playing, he interacts well with audience and is very self deprecating. It was a good evening after one more depressing basketball finish.

It was great. We were in the end zone. The first song was very rough, I was worried about the sound. But they corrected it from there. Joel had just the right amount of humor.

I felt bad for Sting, he very much was treated like the warm up act. It seemed like well over 1/3 of the crowd wasn't there when he started. And people didn't participate in his call and response. That said, I was more there for Joel.

We are thinking of going to Paycor in September to see Joel and Rod Stewart.

We went with a big group. Not a huge fan of either, both "ok". I thought Sting's voice was still very good. A couple of the old Police songs I enjoyed...but most of his solo stuff was meh.
Bill Joel I did enjoy. I think his songs are more conducive to playing to the crowd and showing some energy. Overall, about a B.

The last few concerts we have been to, not local or cover bands, have been Kansas, Bob Seger, Elton John, and Manilow. The audience for all looked like a nursing home bingo game

Last night was different. There were a lot of people in their 40s, even 20s. I was surprised. Did it seem that way to you?

We had a group of 20 in a suite. It was kind of hard to see many people outside of our area. Even getting to the suite, the way we went we passed very few people. Most of the people with us were in their 50's. We also recently saw Elton John and The Eagles. I probably enjoyed those concerts more than last night.

I agree those other two were better. My issue was similar to you, I just don't know Sting's solo work. I didn't love it, but it wasn't terrible. His Police songs were pretty good, but the middle of his set was just alright.

Yes definitely. Last time I saw the Eagles I felt like I was really young! There were really young people around us, up and dancing and knowing words to every song ( Billy Joel), even a couple little girls.
