Anyone heard anything from Sope?

Sope is a living example of how fckd our healthcare is. Better off presenting to the ER screaming your head hurts.
I left a Family Practice that had provided my primary care for 35 years. Went with a Neurologist, DO, and a third FP specialist who established a private 'boutique ' practice two years ago. Accept no insurance, hence no administrative overhead.
Been happy so far.
After the big Corps money grab/covid fiasco, I no longer trusted the big Corps.

Wow! Interesting. There are many people who prefer a DO

He incessantly mocked other posters. Dbm etc. then all his young Turks nonsense proved wrong and he split on election night. Encyclopedia length posts that were all disproved was probably a waste

Hopefully sope found a new chick and is busy
Comic was a bore; cut and paste incessantly from the Huff Post, quotes from Morning Mika and Young Terds....he would set up the proverbial Straw Man as undisputed fact, then bloviate all over the page.
No loss to the discourse.
Not surprising he doesn't show up around here...

I think Cosmic and I are an example that if you meet and know a person, even if only once, you don’t throw insults back and forth on here. Not once have we ever went back and forth on The Cooler.
I agree with this. I’ve actually thought the discourse on this board would improve greatly if more of us met in person. Way back in the Peegs days, I got to meet a handful of people a few different times and it was always fun.

Part of my job involves interacting with legislators and for the most part I get along fine with some MAGA republicans I see semi-regularly in person.

My daughter had two concussions last year - one during spring club soccer and then one sort of late in the fall season. We took her to see a DO and there was a noticeable difference after some osteopathic manipulation.

The cool thing is that as he was doing it, he explained step by step why he was doing things and how it would help.

My GP is a DO as well, but most of those check ups aren’t any different than what one might experience with an MD.

Be careful with her. Two and depending on the time apart raises concerns markedly.

Ohio is a DO school as u know. I think as a general a DO might be a better approach. But there is a stigma. In med mal rule number one was never hire a DO as an expert

The guy we saw came highly recommended and is a nationally recognized expert on cranial injuries. The last time we saw him we were his last appointment before he was flying out to present at a conference on head trauma.

The checkups are proforma.
Your DO likely holds several certificates, oncluding one for FP.

Eh I got a D in gym senior year. I cut the love handles out of all the lineman on the football team’s gym shirts
Our high school was in an 'L' shape, with the gym jutting out off the side of the high school. The backdoor of the boys locker room opened up to a grassy area where all the classrooms on the back of the school had windows looking out over it.

One day in gym class, a friend of mine dared me to take all of this dude's cloths expect his underwear and chuck them out that backdoor. In January. Long story short, that kid had to walk out into that grassy, snow-covered area in his underwear for anyone who cared to look out the window during class to see. I don't know that he knew I did it, but I'm shocked I never got in trouble for that.

You ever have that weird flashback that fills you with regret? Luckily, that's one of my bigger ones.
