Any ideas for Opening Rotation?

Seems like we'd have some idea with only a couple days til first pitch. It'd sure be nice to get 2 of 3 at LSU. After last year's start at RockyTop, I might even settle for 1.

Gabe Bierman, Tommy Sommer, Alex Franklin or McCade Brown ,maybe Braydon Tucker or Conner Manous. Take your pick. Cal Krueger pitched well and was a starter a three years ago, not sure if he would be used as a closer or weekend starter if he is healthy.

My guess for starters would be Sommer Friday, Bierman Saturday, and Tucker Sunday. I would expect they all would be on a pitch count and go no more than 4 innings. Depending on the game situations some interesting contrasting styles could follow these guys, e.g a finesse guy like Sommer followed by a heater like Platt or Stahl setting things up for late guys where coach Mercer has several options would be ideal IMO.

Will IU bats be ready for LSU starters, who have had the weather advantage to shake off the rust?

IMO this series is a great way to start the season.
