It would be ignorant to kick the man while he’s down. And thankfully It’s over for now. He deserves better that
I agree with keeping things civil but let’s not pretend he wasn’t paid a large amount of money to deliver very little in results. He’ll be just fine.

No he really doesn't. He kicked fife when he was down with the hit piece which was not necessary. If he wasn't so arrogant and entitled I'd say yes. But Woodson wanted to trash fife after he fired him. I have no sympathy for him now. And he made 20 million while being lazy.

Dane walked himself into that. He was constantly discussing his politics with team ( although I agree with him ) got caught up in podcast hearsay and allowed people to believe he was coach in waiting which was never the plan. I can tell you that Woody is a nice and personable guy. He faltered under Indianas limelight and chose to mimic his mentor and it didn’t play well combined will his style of play. I have no doubt Woody wanted what’s was best for IU.
Kicking a man when he is down would be trashing archie after he was fired. But by all accounts he tried and tried hard without nil. He just wasn't a good coach at a top level. But he wasn't arrogant and lazy. He didn't think he was owed this job. Woodson by all accounts as doyle said is lazy and entitled and listened to nobody but armond hill. He was a part time worker and now wants to be a victim? He wasn't even qualified for this job. He got it because or quinn and ferguson period.
He might be nice and personable in.person but it doesn't mean he isnt lazy and entitled. Most people are nice. I never said he didn't want what's best but he didn't live and die the job. Read doyles article. He sounds lazy as can be. You have to live and die this job 24/7 if you want to succeed. Been all kinds of reports he couldn't remember recruits names. Wouldn't go see them. Wouldn't listen to anyone. It all ended as expected sadly. He was never qualified for this job.

Beard is a work animal… a lot like his mentor. I saw CB working his ass off as an assistant to RMK. His work ethic stood out amongst others.

Woodson wasn’t much for recruiting high school athletes, rarely seeing anyone in the state and preferring to use a booster’s private jet to see recruits elsewhere only if there were good golf courses around. He loved going to Las Vegas and other parts of the far southwest, for example. Can’t beat the courses out there.

They aren't really that aggressive. Mike Davis had it 100 times worse and he made a title game. My biggest problem with woodson is he treated this like a part time job. If you want the job then live it 24/7. If you fail OK but bust your ass.
How anyone can feel the least little bit sorry for this guy is beyond me. Remember when he uttered something to the effect "mike woodson will be the coach as long as mike woodson wants to be the coach"? F that kind of entitled BS. Get out of town and don't come back.

Well actually since you think you got it all figured out. Archie was offered the keys to the jungle that flow thru Brian Evans opening every door this state has to offer. And Archie was too ignorant to pick up the phone and dial the number. So FK Miller too. Outside of his banging hot wife he brought nothing to the table. A cluster fk of Chinese stoplight fire drills for a defense. Archie’s brother was knee deep in FBI investigations when he was hired here. Both having intense close ties with Calipari. Where ever Miller is at now is where he belongs. Woodson is the only reason Miller wasn’t the worst hire.
Mike sucks at being a basketball coach, but don’t take words you didn’t hear or can’t be proven and pass them as quotes. I am sure lots of what the
fools said were true, but shitstain loves Hollywood and a good story. He embellishes everything to sell it to his peeglets.

Broken record here but there are often 1,500 - 2,000 student no shows for games other than big games.
Dolson needs to sell some of those to the waiting list (assuming it is till there) and young alumni who are willing to put in their time in the balcony or stay there if they like. Regardless we need to sell them.

Neither Miller or Woodson exuded personality, both enable to relate with the fanbase. That's two zeros in a row. I hope this next one is more entertaining-its what keeps us engaged between games. Bob Knight mastered it, as did Lee Corso on the side of the prolate spheroidal ball.
