He is an all around good player. Not a star but like Archie said on his show he is a high basketball IQ, effort will be there every night.

I watched the first half but missed most of the second. Started watching again around 2 minutes and I don't see Leal. Did he foul out our get injured?

Disappointed North lost but at least my alma mater masse it close after a terrible 2nd quarter.

He picked up 4 fouls in fourth quarter and fouled out. At one point it was 9 to 1 in fouls and 4 of them was on Leal. I would say he might have played a total of 2 minutes in fourth quarter if that even.

You don't neccesarly need them. Look at Wisconsin and Purdue. Obviously you need a good coach.

I've seen him a few times this year. Low energy is not a description I would use. He will need to develop in several ways though. His ball handling in particular is worrisome. Anyone thinking he's just going to come.I'm and fill it up from to the perimeter probably hasn't seen him outside of highlight clips.

I like his willingness to defend. He's long and he seems to use his feet pretty well. I think he'll do well over the long haul. Impartial as a freshman? I'm not convinced of that.

Yeah, that JR Holmes hasn't quite figured it out. Give him some more time.

He's a role player at best, maybe a decent one, nut it seems like that's all we got coming, 3 potentially decent role players, and we're supposed to be excited about that?

I went to the game (BHSN alum and Btown resident)....

I did not think he looked that good. Having said that....this is the first time I have ever seen him play.

He may make a nice college play by the time he's a junior. I didn't get a "B1G" feeling from him.

5 star studs with a mix of four year players who play their roles and play smart is what we need. I think Leal will be very solid. He's got athleticism, at least good enough for the college level.

The Senior is a TE recruit for Miami of Ohio. He’s a better football player than basketball player.

Leal is a 4* and ranked around #100. That’s better than Sheehey and Oladipo were. It’s right about where Rob was ranked. JR Holmes wins games and his teams play like a team. There is no showcasing of a single player and there will be nights where Leal drops 30 and nights where he scores 5. South will win both games though, because they have other good players as well. I expect Leal and Galloway to be starters by their junior year, but they’re not going to set the Big on fire as FR. One of them is going to be Mr. Basketball too, and that will give Archie 3 of those in a row which is kind of a big deal.
