Another MSU player allegedly involved in a heinous crime

Here's one that lays out all the things that happened, what MSU didn't do and what they eventually did, but didn't enforce. Appling has been trouble since before all of the current stuff. It's not just Izzo, it's institutional.

This line is the one that gets me...
Appling told Outside the Lines that he did not remember if he and Payne received any sort of punishment from coaches.

Are you referring to the matter that the State’s Attorney declined to prosecute, saying no crime had been committed? Oops.
It was the Ingham County Prosecutor that declined to press charges. He was later arrested and charged with a series of human trafficking crimes that resulted in jail time.

Oops.

Now's the part where you tell me I'm obviously misinformed, not an IU fan, didn't get a degree from IU, not smart enough to understand the nuances, or some combination of any or all of those.

I'll hang up and listen.

So those transgressions caused him to not prosecute two people for rape? And caused his replacement to not do so, either? I have no idea if you attended IU, but I certainly hope you didn’t with such an unimpressive intellect.

So predictable.

So predictable.
In other words, you threw something out that had no link or relationship to Appling, you had no other relevant facts, and you hoped it would serve as a deflection. The tactic of the intellectually inferior. So predictable from the likes of you.

Not at all. I just gave the correct info after you didn't. If there was any money in doing that, a guy could make a steady income. Feel free to post a link about the state's attorney declining to press charges and prove me wrong.

You never disappoint though.

The states attorney declined to press charges. A simple search would reveal the truth to you, but you’d rather make stuff up, instead. If you’re upset because you look like an idiot, that’s your problem. I’d imagine it happens with regularity.

Post the link supporting your assertion about the state's attorney. I'll wait.

From the Detroit Free Press:

August 2010: According to records obtained by the Free Press, former Michigan State players Keith Appling and Adreian Payne were accused of sexually assaulting a woman during the fall of their freshman year in 2010. Then-Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III declined to press charges in the matter, saying no crime was committed and citing insufficient evidence.

Like I said . . . And like you claimed never occurred.

From the article Hooky posted:

“According to a police report, Payne told officers that he could "understand how she would feel that she was not free to leave." Payne was concerned about her reaction to the circumstances and had even asked Appling to apologize to her, the report stated. Payne told officers that he had apologized to Schaner because "it seemed she felt that they 'disrespected' her." ESPN does not typically identify people who report acts of sexual violence, but Schaner sought to publicly reveal her identity. ...

Schaner says campus police investigators told her that, because of Payne's police interview, they had a solid case to pursue. Once the case was forwarded from police to Ingham County prosecutors, Schaner was interviewed by an assistant prosecutor, Debra Rousseau Martinez. Schaner says Martinez told her she did not seem strong enough to stand up to questioning that would come as a result of making allegations against MSU basketball players.”

Just think the reason for a not prosecuting should be presented here. It wasn’t because their wasn’t a strong case.

Actually, it wasn’t prosecuted because “there” (not “their”) wasn’t a strong case. I’m not suggesting that Appling was an angel, but the original statement by a poster was that he raped a girl and that Izzo was in some way responsible. It was a gigantic leap, full of inaccuracies, and Hooky followed it down the rat hole without doing some basic research that would have exponentially expanded his knowledge base.

Can't stand being wrong, so you double down on demonstrable nonsense? Sleep tight, pumpkin.

It was a strong case and should have been prosecuted. Payne on video admitting he could understand why Schaner didn’t think she could leave, coupled with her firsthand testimony would be about as good as you could get in a case like this.

You’ve reviewed all of the relevant statements and spoken with witnesses to make your assessment? On what professional basis do you believe it was a strong case?

Don’t be a sore loser. We both knew you were wrong. Sorry you demanded that I prove you were an idiot.
Now it's devolved to name calling.

You need a new schtick. Anyone with a modicum of experience with your posts knows what you'll say next. You've become very boring.

You’ll say anything to keep from admitting you were wrong. It’s a familiar pattern with you. Now, I’m sure you’ll run away like you did the last time. Lol

You've still posted nothing other than something that says it was the Ingham county prosecutor Dunnings (who later did jail time for human trafficking) who declined to prosecute. You didn't read my original link, but you still ran your suck. Now you're posting excerpts that prove my original point while claiming it as your own.

Not being present for any of the incidents, I will not judge...but among Hollis, Nassar, Beekman, Izzo, Klages, Dantonio and others, there seems to be a remarkable number of similar conversations in E Lansing.

I will note that published reports indicate that Carolyn Schaner has a different opinion of what happened with the two Basketball players (and she was present).
