Another Louisville Grab

So Burrus last year, Scarface this year, can't wait to see what DE verbals to Louisville next year :).
I work with a Louisville grad. He is livid.
Asked me what IU had over Louisville to warrant this?

I told him:
1. IU doesn’t play in a dying conference
2. Cig > Brohm
3. College football playoff. You didn’t make it.

And a big one at that

Love this get for IU. Being the best at FSU camp for lineman is impressive.

ON3 likes him more than Rivals. On ON3 he's 53(?) player in Florida v. not in top 100 on Rivals. Top 450 or so player in the country on ON3.

I bet he also has a Kamara-type chip on his shoulder because he's rated low for his production based on being 6'2". Another prototypical Cig player.

On a semi-related matter, I noticed how well Fat Boy at Illinois is recruiting Florida, I believe 6 guys ranked between 65 and 95 in Florida by Rivals. Overall, the 9th best recruiting class nationally.

I think the next couple of years, it will be O$U, PSU, MICH, and ORE at the top and then IU and Illinois fighting each other to knock that door down and be in the same room.

I could see either p$u or the extinct (in MI) weasels faltering over the next couple of years... If we do what Cignetti intends for us to do we'll end up taking one of those slots...

Plus IU campus looks like the Garden of Eve compared to UL.
Been to two games at UL a couple years ago. It felt like a poor man’s NFL stadium. Did not get a college feel at all. Couldn’t even tell it if it had a dedicated student section. Seemed full of Louisville residents which made it seem like city stadium as opposed to a campus stadium. One of the first stadiums I ever saw a DJ coordinating music and record scratching, perched atop a platform in the endzone. . The parking lots were inside fenced areas that were trash and a bunch of train tracks running around on one side of the stadium. People were fairly nice.
