So..., they're gonna boycott Locally owned franchises of an iconic Kanuckistani brand because the parent company (franchisor) is now reported to be 60% American owned... Smart.........😖🙈

That's real dedication to the cause when you're willing to destroy your own people's livelihood to follow thru on your virtue signaling... 🤣🙄

The people we used to ski with up there seemed semi-normal... (of course that was out in Alberta)...

Where did all these idiots come from...???

Tim Hortons is overrated.

My cousin lives in Keswick, Ontario, north of Toronto. He 'emigrated' to avoid military service. He comes back occasionally for family reunions.

According to him, most of the people living around him are mentally ill.

That country is insane. Been a few times but no interest in ever going back. Covid really showed the true big government nanny state Canada is. And the Canadians on twitter have bigger tds than most American liberals. It's just bizarre.

Alberta and Saskachewan are ok. They need to be the 51st state.

Most likely won't ever happen but I'd rather see British Columbia come along with Alberta... 51st and 52nd... Would love to have the Yukon too just to complete the land connection to Alaska...

Why? Because of the large native population?

Canada's healthcare system, known as Medicare, evolved from provincial innovation to a national, publicly funded system. The journey began with Saskatchewan implementing the first universal hospital insurance in 1946, followed by the introduction of universal medical care in 1966. Key milestones include the Hospital Insurance and Diagnostic Services Act of 1957 and the Medical Care Act of 1966, which established national standards for publicly funded health care. The Canada Health Act of 1984 solidified these principles, ensuring universal access to medically necessary services.

I'll still take them - they gave us Burton Cummings and the Guess Who. Maybe Neil Young? Not sure where Stephen Stills came from.

Gordon Lightfoot was a treasure. One of the great story tellers in song.
Picture a beautiful warm, summer day in 1979. A bright yellow Chevette with a green Carter/Mondale '76 bumper sticker glides down CR-16 in Northern Indiana. In the passenger seat sits an 8-year-old boy, wearing a t-shirt with a number but no team and white tube socks pulled up to his knees.

He's free as can be--no fascist seatbelt laws to hold him down. No sir, this boy has it all, with a mom driving him to see The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again at the Elco Theater and the two of them belting out You Needed Me as it plays in the 8-track player.

Pretty sure I could still sing every word from Murray's 1978 classic album, Let's Keep It That Way.

On the way home? Crystal Gale.

You won't believe this, but I sang You Needed Me at my wedding in 1980.

Are we soul mates?

There are numerous Court retroactive fines available here, but the Court grants absolution for the remarkable growth from white knee-high tube socks to cashmere shawl-collared cardigans.

But Anne Murray? Don’t tempt fate.

I saw Crystal Gale in the Indy 500 pits one time. Her hair was about a long as she was tall.
