First, Elon called Todd Young a deep state puppet for not (initially) supporting Tulsi’s nomination.

Question: Is Todd Young a deep state puppet? And why is Elon so committed to Tulsi’s nomination? Elon seems kinda like the deep state one here.

Second, Elon has repeatedly said/tweeted releasing the names of his DOGE engineers is criminal (against the law) and that people are breaking the law. I think he said the DOJ would pursue criminal charges as well.

Question: Is this illegal? Why would he say that? Seems weird to me.

Alright, help me understand the above. These are small fries compared to what’s likely to come but maybe someone will stop it.

I don’t know if he’s a deep state puppet. But I had a very satisfactory interaction with him a few years ago. He not only listened to what I had to say about a policy matter, I got a couple of follow up phone calls from his policy adviser in the weeks after.

It ended up being moot. The tax policy they were considering ended up being dropped. But I was impressed with the experience.

I can't get past the experience I had with him and his office when he wanted to raise the smoking age to 21. His entire defense was that it would stop high school kids from using nicotine.

I would say upwards of 70% of in-person interactions with one’s representatives go this way.

Honestly, this is a microcosm of the macrocosm thing. In-person interactions almost always go better than expected than online ones, in my experience.

He's a ketamine addled weirdo with megalomania?

Conflicts? You kidding me? Conflicts??!!

Ok….I only care about cutting out the wasteful programs. I don’t care about Musk. You care about him and Trump.

Most interactions I’ve had with politicians have been perfunctory. They’re usually friendly and listen (or at least pretend to listen). But they’re usually pretty quick to move on, shake the next hand, and look for the next check.

This was a more intimate thing. I had lunch with him at the Capitol Hill Club and I tossed him an idea about a possible tax reform that Biden was proposing. He was genuinely interested, got my contact info, told me a staffer would follow up with me, and he did.

I’ll say this much: I like Todd Young a lot more than I do Jim Banks.

It very well may be an easier exercise to identify who is NOT a deep state puppet. The swamp is very deep, has members that have used 40-50+ years of experience to dig REALY deep fox holes to protect, recruit, pay, bribe, organize and blackmail new members, all while using OUR money. Is Todd susceptible, You GD right he is!
It's pretty simple, "show me the USAID $$$ Jerry"! and we are learning more by the hour. But obviously, the Dem/Rino talking point is .. "conspiracy theory!" while they spend $300mil to win a $175k job... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

That was my argument. You must think raising the age to buy firearms will keep teenagers from shooting each other too, right?
Me, hell no. I was taking shot guns to school when I was 14 so my buddy and I could squirrel hunt on the weekend.

No wonder the why the elites are so upset about USAID

I'm confused by this graphic - or, at least, by how it's being presented. It looks to me like this Clinton-affiliated foundation only received $17,500 in taxpayer funds. So I would assume the rest is from private contributions.

Perfect example of someone unquestionably believing what a twitter twit posts because he/she can't understand the actual information. Twitter twit probably couldn't understand it either.

Ein is for a business/organization not them individually either

And the idea that Chelsea Clinton put $84M in her pocket (whatever the source of the foundation's revenues) is even more absurd. It's a top line number. In fact, the Foundation lost money in 2023. Here are their executive/board salaries:

(an aside: I wonder if CEO Kevin Thurm is any relation to that neurotic superlawyer Nathan Thurm)
