Another “Big Man” recruit

IU needs size and shooters.

TJD cannot possibly be expected to replace Morgan as a freshman.

Either Cliff Moore gets strong and starts playing next year or they bring in someone 6'10" or taller.

And they need a pure shooter.

Brooks, I hate to say, is neither, but he is a talented player and sometimes that can make up for other deficiencies. And sometimes it can't.

If it were me, and Romeo was definitely leaving, Id be sure to be shopping for 6'11".
probably a little late to go shopping for a talented 6'11" player

OK. Now you're doubling down on stupid. Chuck Franz may not have played a lot or been a high scorer while at IU, but he could shoot the shit outta the ball man! Dude was a knock down shooter. This all stems from your idiotic claim that Damezi isn't a shooter.

Again, Damezi isn't paying because of his lack of awareness on D. He dropped 2,210 career points in Indiana HS basketball against 4A competition. You don't do that if you can't shoot. Now you're tripling down on stupid and attacking his shooting mechanics. YCMTSU
never said he couldn't shoot. just disputing someone referring to him as a shooter. to me, that's a guy who hits 40% from 3

This will be my last reply to you. You're way too emotional when you post. Damezi scored 2,210 points in HS. He can shoot really well. Archie doesn't play all 13 guys. He's talked about it a lot previously. He gets a rotation going and sticks with it. Same as at Dayton. I'll leave you with this: He can't get minutes over McBob, who went like 3 months without scoring. Why? Because he can't play D like him. And clearly Archie won't play you if you can't play D.
HE'S way too emotional when he posts?!? lmao. no mirrors in your house?

I mentioned recently that I can't remember seeing him drive to the basket. I doubt he has taken many shots inside the 3 point line.

Maybe he understands he isn't ready to drive to the basket.

I noticed that from his HS tapes as well........I just think he's not very comfortable with the contact. In HS, he could stand 23 feet from the basket and bomb away. I think that's what he likes to do, and what he's comfortable with. In HS he could do that pretty easily because of his height. In college, you either have to have a quick shot release, or the ability to drive to the basket to be effective. He has neither right now.

I also noticed in his HS/AAU tapes that he was really quick, handled the ball pretty well, and drove to the basket in the full court game....but in the half court game it was mostly long bombing.

I like the guy. I really liked how hard he tried to get RL and other commits after he committed. And he's shown he's a team player. I just think there are so many flaws with his game that it's not likely he'll get much pt by next year.
