And isn't it fitting Smith's man beats him for the jam

One guy is shooting under 15% from 3, and he just keeps shooting bricks when the other team doesn't even guard him, on purpose. He needs to put that 3 in his pocket. It's essentially a TO.

Smith got faked out on the slip screen. Green passed a ball to Morgan's ankles, Romeo got in the way of the final shot. List can go on, simply too many mistakes.
nope. smith played it the way miller told him to. you can say miller got burned if that makes you feel better

Watch the play again. He didn't 'hedge', he jumped the screen and got himself completely out of the picture. The screener was smart enough to realize Smith was out in space, and dove to the basket. It would be interesting to know whether they anticipated Smith would screw it up, and that was the actual play call, or if the guy just reacted to what he saw. The OSU coach is probably too polite to rub it in if it was the former.

Romeo as usual was too slow to react, but had he done so at most he would have been able to contest at the rim or foul.

The play was 90% Smith's screw-up, 10% Romeo's.
i disagree. smith played the hedge the way the team has played it the entire year. i don't think the screener read anything. it was a play call by holtmann who took advantage of miller's tendencies relating to how we defend that action. miller gave a nod to that in the presser. everyone here is blaming smith but they are wrong. if you want to blame miller for not adjusting in the final minute, you have a point.

Smith is a bad BB player. It's not a one game scenario, but 2 full seasons worth. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you.
smith could be a very good player. for the life of me i can't understand why smith hasn't had his shot reconstructed. additionally, a pull up 8-10 footer would do wonders for his game. naturally, can't really pull up jumpers while bringing the ball behind your head to shoot
