Emails went out to 2 million federal employees Tuesday evening offering them the chance to go on paid leave if they don't accept the new demand that they report to the office for work.

Great deal for someone already considering retirement...

Good chance over 50% of them will be out of a job by October one way or another anyway, between cutting the fat RIFFs and DOGE' (or Dog-ee as I like to call it) total department eliminations...

My Ops Manager hired someone - once - who came from a government job. The employee came to me on his second day wanting to know if I was sure we didn’t have 5 personal days. “Noooo, I’m pretty sure we don’t; I wrote a good deal of our policy.”

“Can you check?”

I told my Ops Manager to never hire another ex-government employee. The guy he had hired didn’t last very long.
