Also, to be clear, I’m not excusing Trump in any way. I think what he said was pretty despicable.

Whose fault is this accident? What specific policy caused it? Who enacted that policy?
Maybe wait until there is an investigation into what actually happened instead of spiking the football over 60-70 people who died in this accident.
And for what it’s worth, if there were incompetencies as a result of decisions made by the Biden administration then by all means criticize them. I will too.
He requested DEI hiring practices at the FAA stop the first day he was in office. Unfortunately, the amount of damage the prior administration did takes more time than 24 hours to unwind. There are many positions that people with disabilities can, and should be able to work. ATC's, Brain surgeons, Pilots, are some of the positions that I would prefer to have the A+ students and not the C+ students.
That doesn’t have to be mutually exclusive. Maybe an emphasis on that will give rise to the next one. Per usual trunp is indelicate but opportunistic

No I don't know, nor does probably anyone, at this time. If anything, it seemed to me that Trump was more critical of the helicopter pilots than the airline pilots. Whether the ATC has any blame on this we will find out at a later time.
That being said, there are some positions that should 100% be merit based. ATC is one of them. There is all kinds of evidence (google) that the prior administration had goals for DEI hires within the FAA. Does that include ATC? Don't know.
So why didn't people vote for them? They promised virtually the same thing.

Just watched an interview with a former NTSB investigator. He says the structure of the Black Hawk creates blind spots. (Also, the soldiers in the Black Hawk were wearing night vision goggles). He also commented about the third aircraft that is seen in the crash video. He speculated (and that’s all it is at this point) that when the Black Hawk pilot commented to the tower that he had the CRJ in sight, he may have been referring to the third aircraft.
So, why are we even talking about it relative to this tragic event? I mean, we probably shouldn't hire cocaine using pedophiles either, but they seem to be able to get nominated for high level positions in Donny's administration.
Which is why it’s stupid to suggest this had anything to do with any policy or DEI hiring process. Maybe an investigation proves that some policy or less than qualified employee was at fault eventually, but it’s dumb to point to that without knowing.
