Can’t say CTA didn’t get the job done at PSU … Stopping Jeanty was a big deal.

What was always best about Allen was that enthusiasm, that love of football. Cignetti talks about his love of “ball” and in that sense, Allen and Cignetti are two peas of the same pod.

The man loved to talk, or shout, about football. Much of his final season at Indiana in 2023 was spent speaking with a hoarse voice. His vocal cords always left it all on the field.”

Tom's not a bad DC. Especially with that kind of talent. Just not head coach material.

Can't help but love that guy.

I think Corso loved IU too.

Hep camps out at the top of that mountain.
I’d sure have liked to see what Hep could get done at IU. In 2006 I recall the game versus 15-ranked Iowa in Memorial Stadium, we were winning late and the Big Ten Network showed all the fans coming across 17th street. Hep called IU football a shooting rocket ship, and he was dead 6 months later. Hep gave us an up tick in recruiting and Bill lynch played 12 the next season. Hep brain tumor convinced me IU football was in fact cursed!

Yeah... Impressive how he tried to have his DE/ OLB cheap shot Jeanty out of the game (and possibly ruin his pro career in the process) and then have the gall to get all buddy-buddy with the RB post-game...

Anyone interested should go back and watch #33 for Penn State... That clown should have been thrown out of the game...

I'm done with TA after seeing that sh-t...

Here's hoping we completely embarrass his D at their place next Fall...

Tom Allen instructed his LB to purposely take out an opposing player with an out of bounds cheap shot so that he could ruin that players career?

What in the actual fvck are you talking about?

This might be the most retarded post I've ever read on here. And that's with Kurt C posting on here.

My thought is that the two coaches are complete opposites.

It wasn't out of bounds...

Check the tape dumbass...

33 should have been thrown out of the game...

He purposely speared him helmet to helmet from his blind spot (should have been targeting) and they were both nowhere near the play...

The jerk only got 15 yards (Unnecessary Roughness) for it... #33 was clearly intentionally attempting to injure the guy...; he launched himself from slightly behind and to the side from 2 yards away... Hell, Jeanty thought the play was over and was just standing there looking downfield...

Same guy (#33) got away with a cheap shot on the Boise QB in the endzone (to the rear of his helmet) with no call... That was a good 4 count After the ball had been thrown...

Try watching the game...

To say CTA instructed #33 to make that play is a bunch of BS...

Do better...

Check the tape..., and pay particular attention to #33 on their D...
Then ask yourself who his Coach is...

Don't attempt to tell me to "do better" by the way... I'm doing fine...

Wouldn't their defensive line coach be #33 coach?

I don't know the Penn State roster at all, but everything I'm seeing is Allen coaches linebackers and they have someone else coaching the defensive line.

Just because Allen calls plays doesn't mean he is his direct coach.

I remember that game and the post game interview. I’m pretty sure Eric Gordon flipped from Illinois to IU that same weekend, making it very memorable for Hoosier fans.

I've spent a couple of hours trying to find any news of Tom Allen ordering one of his players to take out an opponent. Please link your accusation, dicklips.

Delete your stupid post, take a couple of days off, and spend some quality time with your boyfriend.

C’mon, you don’t really believe Allen gave instructions to cheap shot Jeanty.

In fact, I’d bet you anything that CTA apologized to Jeanty after the game.

He's the DC. He runs that D.
He knew exactly what was going on out there...
Allen's not as pure as you'd like to believe...

I know exactly what I saw.

I saw it too. Allen doesn’t control the brains of every guy out there. He calls the plays. Players, believe it or not, make decisions on their own.

You’re reaching here.

Whatever you want to believe... Allen's not the saint you apparently want him to be... If he didn't want those cheap shots to happen they wouldn't be happening...

You're grasping at straws. There is no evidence TA would order a cheap shot. Players make dumb decisions and he probably got a chewing from TA after he did it. Cheap shots were not a problem when he was here.

So the actions of players are always the responsibility of their coaches?

I think you are both right. 80% of the actions permitted are on the player, 20% are on the staff for not benching them or addressing it and allowing it to happen more than once. Who knows..... that dumbass may have been doing stadium stairs for the past few days because of it...
