After 20 yrs, this will be the game that does it. I'm done*

This is why so many Hoosier fans become ND fans during football season.

So...they finally broke you, huh???...

That was the most deflating game I have ever witnessed. In no way should we have lost that game. We can only hope for a win against Purdue, and that isn't a given. Its hard to see us going bowling when before the 2 interceptions and blocked punt for a return our QB was having a career game. This loss, as much as I like Wilson, is on coach.

I'm done too. Unbelievable that I spend time and money on this crap. I need counseling because I keep coming back for more. Officially don't care now.

You can count me as another who has had it--until Glass brings in a coach who knows how to coach a game. Yesterday was the most deflating game I have ever watched--started off great--but late in game, W was not playing to win--just not to lose--went away from plan that go them where they were, tried to run the ball and when was third and long and R blitzed, IU up the creek and no place to go--am sure CW is a decent recruiter and probably a good teacher, but as far as running the game, forget it--go back to beginning of season--don't remember whom they were playing--last minute with game tied and IU on their goal where a 3 pointer would win--just run out the clock and bring it down to the last seconds--remember what Rutgers did yesterday ?--no, CW went for TD on first down, opponent let Howard dance for td, they got ball back with minute to go, scored--thankfully, missed two point to win game--IU survived. Yesterday IU should have won, and big--but no, CW changed things--with one of the best QB in country and best running back in country not available, he decides to run--not continue what R couldn't stop, the short passing game--Result, a loss--and a memory that will live on--like others on here have said--ENOUGH, HAVE HAD IT--been watching IU play since 1950--I am through !!!

I think there were at least 3 times 3rd and short Redding off tackle those 3 possessions no first down. That"s the difference as good as Nate was throwing it why not a simple bubble pass or something different. I predicted the call each time if I could you know Rutgers could

I think what we need more than anything is to win one we're not supposed to: Michigan State, Michigan or Iowa.

Why on third and short do you run out of the shotgun especially when you have a 6'6 QB

That would certainly help turn the tide.
Before the game I doubt many here would have thought we would have been up by 25 with a quarter to play.

If this team quits then Wilson is done. If they continue to compete they have a "reasonable" chance of getting to 6 wins. I would suggest if they continue to compete and only get to 5 wins then extend Wilson but with a very low buyout number which would give him the security he needs to be able to recruit while protecting IU from having to pay a large termination penalty should things not continue to improve.

Pretty much my thinking. Like it or not, this is IU. Progress will be agonizingly slow. Six wins will show progress; five would at least show some maintenance of what little progress Wilson has made thus far, and should buy him a couple more years (if they can be bought cheap). If they lose out, then that's probably the end of the Wilson era. And it should be.

52 points and lose! No D. No Win. No Bowl. No Change.
After almost 50 years of IU Football Futility.
IU needs a Football Home Run Hire or IU Football will never win big, Ever!

You either pony up the money or continue to be the laughingstock of NCAA Football across the nation.
The IU Baskeball team plays better defense than the IU football team!

This is spot on. Wilson squandered the initial excitement and inertia when he was hired through personal issues and erratic grumpy behavior. He lost some assistants and players, and recruits but he got it together, a couple years later. If this team never gives up this year, extend him with a favorable buyout for IU. Not a crean buyout.

Because said QB has an ankle sprain. It would be beyond stupid to risk him getting rolled in a pile
I am not just taking about this week but every game we never put the qb under center and on short yardage situation I think it is better tor run the ball when the qb is under center.

Think the problem was the same play called 3 times and 0 for 3 . I think Howard gets those yards Redding does not . Redding does not hit the holes as quick nor the power that Howard has but IU runs the plays as if Howard is in the game.
