Administrative Agency Abuse

Selling the border wall steel was perhaps one of the more “deep state” ideologically driven decisions.

A Texas US circuit judge issued an injunction barring further sales.

Meanwhile, it's ignored by the media, except for Fox and X.

If the governmeent - under a Democrat - does it, no questions asked. Literally.

It was ordered in 23 and if I remember right much of it was excess and bought by ca and tx. I was hoping they were going to sell sheets to the public. I definitely wanted some for a he shed or to replace my daughter’s bedroom door. Be hilarious

Yeah he can come over for dinner and watch movies. But remember. Don’t let him cross the border. There are no laws over there….

Trump should have bought them and sold pieces of them with his name on it. He'd have made a mint.

Worst. Movie. Ever.
This is wrong. Wife wanted to watch a sports movie. Uplifting or some shit. My go tos there (sans Hoosiers, obvs) are Chariots of Fire, the Sandlot, St. Ralph (although a bit dramatic and sad), the newer Sandler movie about some Euro bball player (Hustle?). Nope, she wanted something else.

So, I'm thinking racing. Maybe Rush. No, she doesn't like the Hemsworth guy. What about Driven? The classic Sly Stallone/Kip Pardue** collab.

Worst.Movie.Ever.Made.

I'm not even joking. It's so bad as a stand alone movie. But then you make it about racing and literally **** up every single racing thing in the movie. I knew we were in for a wild ride when (this movie was made in 2000/1) they showed an Indy car with a clutch. I packed out laughing and about fell over. It went downhill from there.

**Kip Pardue is the worst actor ever and they tried sooooo hard to make that dude relevant. For reference he was the surfer boy QB in Remember the Titans. Hayden Christensen should have been let off the hook years ago

PS. Watching that movie killed my boner for the Brad Pitt F1 thing coming out sometime next year.

Ha yeah that’s palm. It was a great commubity. Clubhouse. Road golf carts. Played golf. Cool houses. And a couple nights a week the smell of a landfill
IMO Florida sucks. Most of it is a dump. The "nice" areas are tacky as hell; no character. That nice weather is great--oh, except for the ridiculous summers, the hurricanes, the snakes, alligators, etc. The water tastes like sulfur, and then, yeah, the stink. And I haven't even touched on the populace yet . . .

The weather is everything. Until you live it it’s hard to relate. 8 1/2 months of the year it’s absolutely perfect. 75. No humidity. You just do more life. You sit outside for drinks. You go to the beach. Play year round outdoor soccer. Go on adventures. My gf did the triathlon sprint shit. Mini triathlons in all the cool spots. Key west sobe siesta key at Augustine Disney destin etc. just a great active life.

But yes so many problems. Way too many people. Drug addict heaven. Florida man at every turn. Hurricanes. Bad weather. At iron horse we could smell a landfill and had a pond with reclaimed water that had too much sulfur and smelled like rotten eggs. On and on.

All of that said it’s going to be 8 degrees here next week

I like the change in temps here. Fall is my favorite season. But yes, if I could have three months of fall, two months of winter, and 7 months of 75-80 degree weather, that would be perfect.

8 1/2 months? It's damn hot - and very humid - in Florida from April to October, at least in the south of Florida. I don't know much about the weather in the nothern part. And it does get chilly in December and January. February and March are the Chamber of Commerce months, imo.

I do like going down for Spring Training in March. Very sublime, watching the Red Sox with a cold beverage.

Myself, I can only take about 2 weeks in Florida before I'm bored stiff. I'm not a golfer. The beach is nice, but again - too much is boring.

Wife loves it, which is why she spends to much time down there. I guess you're either a Florida person or you're not.

I spent a year in Monterey - I much prefer that over SoCal.

Monterey doesn't have great weather and it doesn't have bad weather. It's just in the 60s pretty much year round, with a lot of fog and, of course, monsoons in the fall, but only for a month or so.

I love both SoCal and NoCal on the coasts.

The entirety of that state is merely something you are forced to drive through to get to Key West.

From San Luis Obispo north and inland to the Sierras. Beautiful country with great people, but crappy politics controlled by people on a 10-15 mile strip from the coast eastward.

I like the relaxation and Caribbean vibe. Can’t get that in CA, TX, etc.

Agree that isn’t not aesthetically appealing, but weather is good in Sw FL. I wouldn’t live there permanently but would enjoy snowbirding there.

Some people like Miami, Palm Beach, but neither is my vibe.

We lived in Monterey for two years. Of the many places we’ve lived, including Hawaii, it’s our favorite for weather. Never too hot or too cold and I can play golf all year round as in Hawaii. Only difference is I might need a pull over and possibly long pants occasionally in Monterey. Fortunately, I got to travel to Monterey for business every 2 to 3 months over the last four years to meet with local leadership and the people there that worked for me. Got in several rounds of golf in the evenings and/or the weekends. Crazy expensive to live there though.

Key West is our go-to spot. Live and let live, with a great sense of community. Seafood, The Hemingway House, Truman Annex, Turtle Kraals, up and down Duval street, Mallory Square at sundown...too damn bad the real estate is crazy expensive.

Wife and I will be there Jan. 2 for a week. Never been before.

It really is its own world. Walked into a bar there, sat down to listen to a really good band, had no idea who they were. For some reason they had a giant stockpot sitting on a burner on stage next to the bass player. After their set, everyone in the bar got up and formed a line, and the band served everyone gumbo.

I was in LA for the UCLA game and the traffic is just unbearable. Beautiful weather, although it was HOT, and I enjoyed vacationing there. But living there with the traffic - no freaking way.
Yes … I avoid LAX to avoid the traffic stress when in LA.
Chicago rush hour traffic is no picnic either.
