It was better when there were 10 teams that all played each other home and away
I was 13 or 14 at Keady's bball camp and Henson was a guest speaker. He kicked ot off by saying that despite what was being said, his recruitment of Effrem Winters was all above board and he'd done nothing wrong. 400 or so kids were all looking at each other trying to figure out what he was talking about and why that was part of his opening remarks.
And almost always on Thursday and Saturday nights.
Henson was a clown and Knight lived rent free in his head for years
There are a few lessons in there. The main one being…don’t run your mouth until the game is over.

Nah this was post 1993, when things first started to slip and RMK wasn’t getting along with AD Doninger. Beginning of the end. RMK was rarely happy after 1995.

I think they were right about each other. RMK was an asshole. Lou was an underachiever whose recruiting efforts included bags of cash landing in the Chicago Public League. (decades before NIL).
