Like it - solid coach and wins wherever he goes.
But is he another Matt Painter? Win consistently, but never does well in the dance.
Is this not better than not winning consistently and not making the dance? Purdue has been to how many sweet 16s the last 6 or 7 years? I’m not going to look it up but it seems like a handful. I’d trade for that immediately. At the rate things are going, when is the next time we get to the sweet 16?
yep. Someone on another thread made a list and #1 on the list was Brad. I had to check the calendar to confirm what year we are in. Never ends.
Painter is a very good coach and, IMHO, he will soon get to a final 4.
Why not hire somebody younger and hungrier who’s about to hit their peak rather than someone beyond their peak? What IU wants is Jamie Dixon in 2003, not 2023. And if IU wants Brad Stevens, why not his protege and former defensive coordinator who is hungry to put in the work and build something? (Shrewsberry)

Running IU’s program is a headache. You’ve gotta find somebody willing to pop Advil and work his butt off on a daily basis. Jamie Dixon doesn’t want that. Brad Stevens is king of all basketball intellectuals. He definitely doesn’t want that.

You have 3 choices: bad, mediocre, and great. To me, the choice is a no brainier.
no way. he's a tom crean caliber hire. i'd rather take a chance on an up and comer.
Jamie isn't leaving TCU... they love him there and he doesn't have to be perfect. He's beyond chasing anything at this point... he'll be at his alma mater until he decides to retire.

I like Dixon again proven winner mutiple programs that's what we have to look for. .687 winning percentage over .727 at Pitt.
