2017 forward Jaren Jackson (Park Tudor) of Indiana Elite is starting to show more confidence and play with a little more authority offensively.

He's 6-8 and could get to 6-10 or so. He doesn't turn 16 until September.

He's handling the ball in the open court and making plays inside. He continues to look like a player with a tremendous future.

Jackson's father - who played at Georgetown and in the NBA - said his son's recruitment is "totally wide open."

Jackson Sr. said the family isn't doing anything more than listening to coaches who express interest while focusing on physical and skill development.

... 2018 forward Kevin Easley (Lawrence North) of Indiana Elite G3 Rising Stars shot it pretty well from the perimeter in his team's first game today.

He had three made 3s on the way to 24 points.

Easley also had a couple of spin then fadeaway shots on the baseline as well from about 15 feet.

He's going to need to have perimeter shooting and a floor game if he stays in the 6-5, 6-6 range, and he's showing he's been working on it.

... 2017 7-foot-2 Indiana Elite center Bol Riek had some intriguing moments.

He has obvious size, but he showed some instincts, making nice touch passes and hitting some shots.

He's new to the game and learning to play and that was noticeable when he had difficulty in some rebounding situations, but he did have a game of 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots.
