This line is way too high. Sharks will be betting on IU tonight. I still think we can go on a run, I am standing my ground. This team is a top 4 talented team in this league. If X And TJD have good games we will be hard to beat. If other guys have good games along side then we are a real threat.

There is still 5 games left, 25% of the season. For once Hoosiers let’s get on a run at the end of the season. Tonight can start that trend. Show the mental toughness and shut up the bitches. All aboard!!!!

Any team “can” go on a run, even if they aren’t one of the “top 4” talented teams in the league.

you are right, there is still a lot of season left.

hopefully this team can finish well this year. I am less concerned about our talent and focused more on the mental side of things. Either way we need to flip the momentum right now. And not for just the first half.
 
We definitely match up well with them and can certainly win. But they're at home and coming off a bad loss and they have Holtmann who is about to make his 8th straight trip to the dance as a college HC. I think OSU rolls easily.

I have iu by 8 tonight. We are a hungry team tonight tonight starts a run to finish 4-1.

Woody wanted to make his stamp on defense. He did that, it just has come at a much bigger cost on O then we could have imagined. I am
Just waiting for something to start clicking tho. Some chemistry with each other is going to come. Thought Galloway was gonna do it. Still could TBH. Another opportunity tonight.

I agree with you on X and TJD. When they both play well we are hard to beat. Unfortunately I disagree on our overall talent level. Race is solid but if X and TJD don’t do it we must have A combination of Galloway, Bates, and Geronimo do it because our other starters and bench seem incapable. Big ask for our bench but if they can step up these last 5 games then there is a shot.

I agree with you. I just think Bates and JG are much better than most. Still do. One of them is gonna go on a run for us THIS year. I bet on scoop. Young buck turns 19 today. I’m telling you, I’ve never seen a mental makeup like him. He is going to be great.

I like Bates and I do like what I have seen from him lately. Like a lot of young players if we get some consistency it will be good for us. If Bates can be a 10-12 point guy off the bench that is the difference in winning a losing a lot of these games. Go IU!

Like I responded to your Wisconsin post...until this team closes a half and a game well again...I'll just have see it to believe it. The only thing I can see happening is a late game fold...the question isn't if it'll happen any more, its specifically how it'll happen.

Obviously would LOVE to be wrong.

And I guess you have a unique perspective on the team, allowing you to see and talk with them away from the games we all see on the court. So I won't argue too much with your continuous "Top...whatever...talent" claims. But from what I've seen, on TV in the games, we're much closer to the bottom of the conference than the top when it comes to overall skill and talent...our backcourt especially.

But hey, the first OSU game is one of the very few that everything I wrote above this wasn't accurate, and your optimism was! Lets hope for a repeat. They certainly should have good thoughts heading into this game.

Could be. I bet we play decent for the first 2/3 to 3/4 of the game, but fade at the end. Lose by single digits.

I wouldn't bet this game with someone else's money though.

If we get up by a decent amount at halftime, and the OSU money line odds are good enough, I might put a 50 spot on that...to hedge against my imminent frustration...

For most seasons in the past 20 years, this is a game we lose by 15. I hope your optimism prevails, but I'll curb any enthusiasm until we prove otherwise on the court.

You’re probably right.

If we do come out flat, and get blown out, it’s a fairly compelling further sign Woody lost the team. And we might just lose out.

This is a game we could play fairly well and still lose though, even by double digits. We’ll be able to tell though, I bet, how into it the guys are.

for what it’s worth I talked with a few of them this weekend and IMO they are in the right state of mind. Failure isn’t an option was said. Woody also didn’t allow any of them to go home this week. They know how important it is to make the tourney.

Glad to hear it. Hope they play well tonight. As I posted earlier, it still might not be enough to win. But it would feel good to see them compete, and make some plays coming down the stretch.

It would make the mood heading Into the deciding next 3 games a lot better.

On the road...short handed...gonna be tough to stay with them for 40 minutes. I took the points but it was a wager just for shits and grins.
