Next 7 games:
@Maryland
NEBRASKA
@Purdue
@N'western
MICHIGAN
@Rutgers
@Mich St
I'm going somewhat out on the limb and say we'll win at N'western and Rutgers and home against Nebraska. I'd put the games at Purdue and home against Michigan are probably 50/50 but winnable. If we can pull one out tomorrow night at Maryland we'll have a pretty good chance of winning 6 straight before going up to Lansing on Feb 2. We're 1-3 on the road thus far the lone win coming at Penn St. What say you?

Even if you give us the 4 games you give us and that the other two games are "50/50", it's a 25% chance of winning both @Purdue and Michigan at home.

We're in for a tough stretch. I think we'll be under .500 in conference after that MSU game, and then we'll go on a tear through that soft second half of the schedule, and rally to finish 4th or so at 13-7.

The Big is surprisingly good this year--and we've had too many guys miss too much time to still call ourselves a dark horse for the conference championship race, unfortunately.

Need Rob back to compete on the road in the B1G.
Why?

We should compete just fine without him. If you want to say we need him in order to win, maybe, but not for every roadie coming up.

I personally think we beat Northwestern, Nebraska, Rutgers, purdue. Struggle at sparty like we and everyone else always seems to do and beat UM at home in a close one. I'm more worried about tonight's game at CP than any of the others.

Anything less than 4-3 wold be disappointing and 5-2 would be great.

4-3 minimum. 5-2 hopefully. 7-0 in my dreams.

The injured players hopefully returning as we move through these games will result in us getting stronger as a team as we go

Likely 3-4 at best in those 7 games.
If we don’t play hard and have the continued slow starts it could be 2-5 or 1-6.

5-2 would be an outstanding job and 4-3 would be decent.

We beat Northwestern by 2, at home, with Phin and Davis playing.

We're going to go to Welsh-Ryan and beat them easily? Seems unlikely. We will be an underdog in every road game listed except maybe Rutgers. I think we beat Rutgers, Nebraska, and maybe snake out on other one. Michigan at home is a coin flip.

Northwestern has been trending down over the last 6-8 games.

has this been announced?

Archie on if Rob is on track to play tomorrow:
“As of right now, he’s not. He’s continuing to, I guess, get further along some of the stuff that he’s doing on a daily basis. He hasn’t had any setbacks. I’m encouraged to watch him participate more in practice, but he has not been cleared to do anything full contact yet, and he’ll have another day today where hopefully we can get him moving in the right direction. But as of right now, there’s no indication he’ll play for us on Friday.”

Archie didn't sound too optimistic about Davis playing either. Said something like he's been able to do some things in practice buy not everything

Good gawd...what a bunch of low-bar setting cowards...Crean could’ve coached for 30 more years had you guys given him similar expectations

Check UL schedule from Jan 30 on...
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/97

5 of 8 games vs top 15 teams
4 of the 8 games are road games
3 of the 4 home games are vs #1,4,12

Thats a tough UL schedule. Not the schedule IU faces over the next stretch. The stretch IU faces is that if any Power5 schools on a regular basis.

Would you prefer the posters to say we’ll be 7-0? What is “setting the bar low” even mean when it’s obvious that the team is flawed and has a bunch of people out?

So you expect a team without 5 scholarships players to go out and win every road game. what was your expectations for this team going into the season? I think some fans problem is that there expectations are base solely on tradition from the past and not what this years team can actually accomplish.

My expectations for Archie are to outperform the expectations placed on Crean...

My expectation is what I feel like this team can do and before the season I thought we would finish 4th or 5th in the conference. I also I thought we could make the sweet 16 and all of these things are still possible. these expectations has nothing to do with Crean since he has not been here for two months. Also when I had those expectations it was with a healthy roster and I thought Hunter was going to be a big contributor.

Seems like every single game this season we’ve had some combination of at least 3 players not playing due to injury.

All bets are off until Rob gets back. Davis out makes it even worse. Not a pretty scenario.
