Those games were hockey at its highest level. The best players in the world (mostly) playing with passion and intensity. I can only imagine if the Russians were allowed to participate in this tourney - that would have created two more huge rivalry games for both Canada and the USA. The NBA all star game is unwatchable crap - players that are making $20 million or more a year just going through the motions on the court in front of fans that have paid hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to watch them is offensive. I know I'm not an objective observer because I don't find the NBA product interesting at all, but there's no better sport to watch in person than NHL hockey. The intensity of hockey is on a completely different level from the NBA, and when you bring the national aspect into the games it adds a whole new dimension. The four nations tourney is one of the few things that Bettman has hit out of the park.
