BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) announced its All-Region teams on Wednesday, with three Hoosiers selected to the All-Midwest teams.

Sophomore midfielder Femi Hollinger-Janzen were second-team selections.

Thompson started all 22 matches in 2014, earning All-Big Ten first team honors while leading the team in goals scored (6) and total points (15). Last week Thompson was named one of 16 finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy.

In his first season at Indiana, Lillard anchored the back line with 22 starts at center back. In addition to helping the Hoosiers to seven shutouts on the season, Lillard finished the year tied for second on the team in goals scored with five. He was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was a second-team All-Big Ten selection, as well as a unanimous choice for the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.

Hollinger-Janzen was named to the All-Big Ten first team after finishing the year with five goals and two assists. Hollinger-Janzen was a starter in all 21 matches he appeared as the Hoosiers finished the 2014 season with a 12-5-5 record.

In addition it was announced today that 12 members of the 2014 squad were named Academic All-Big Ten honorees. Both Thomson and Hollinger-Janzen were honored, along with Kyle Wieschhaus.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
