Not that high school rankings mean anything, but...

Archie's Average High School/Not Transfer Recruit Ranking (based solely on next year's roster): 117
Woody's Average High School/Not Transfer Recruit Ranking (based solely on next year's roster): 40.5

*LD & CJ Gunn counted as Archie recruits because they committed to prior regime

So, Woody is signing guys out of high school who are, on average, ranked almost 3x higher. Keep it up and the future will be bright.

Next Year....

Purdue's Average Roster/Player Ranking is 156
IU's Average Roster/Player Ranking is 102.53

*Waddell and Berg were kindly excluded

Again, these numbers are just that...numbers. Interesting nonetheless.

Interesting data. Not only can Woodson get more out of the talent, if he can continue to recruit better talent, we will be much improved in the coming years. Look forward to watching this team grow.

It will be interesting to see if MP can continue to field basketball teams filled with very solid, yet unheralded recruits, and compete for conference titles in the world of NIL.

They lose a ton, from a production standpoint. None of those players was a highly touted recruit, which had been his M.O.

However, college recruiting has changed now that you can buy teams. Think what would happen if you had 300 NBA basketball teams and no salary cap. What if Paul Allen wanted his favorite team to win every year? And what about the bottom 250 teams?

painter has done well in the conference….yet, it seems to me that NIL will blow up any parity that existed.

I tried to tell Purdue fans they wouldn’t be able to compete in the NIL world and they didn’t believe me.

What’s so funny?
you go 3-5 Gillis, Furst, Edey. Furst and Gillis both more athletic than Kopp so not sure why you are arguing here.
That would be an awful lineup both defensively and offensively. You probably have Morton at PG too.

Idk I’m just guessing. They have Newman and Morton and some freshman
Morton is too slow to guard a 1. Gillis and Furst are too slow to guard a 3.

If I had to guess, I would say they are currently looking at starting:

Smith
Newman
Morton
Gillis
Edey

Painter would have been far more successful in Btown with the advantages IU offers.
What advantages did the Peacocks or Mean Green have over PU? In 19-20 years, Matt hasn't been any farther in the NCAA's than the Peacocks this year. I understand some PU fans wearing the black and gold glasses, but come on: Matt isn't anything special. Crean and Archie have helped out Matt big time.

Then how did we play Kopp at the 3? Gillis is stronger and more athletic then Kopp.

Painter is steady at being good enough to be labeled chokers every year. But it is expected at this point.

Body of work Jimbo.

Give Matt the IU brand, support, budget, facilities, exposure, campus history, etc and he does a hell of a lot better.
