2 minutes for FB replays

This is great news. Hopefully this will incentivize the officials in the press box to take a more active role in making the call and reduce the need to have the on-field officials look into the camera for an hour. Just make the call from upstairs and tell the officials on the field the outcome. It would also be nice if they make it a policy not to attach tv timeouts to replays

Agree! - Make the call from upstairs - stop the on field reviews. Also make a player that goes down in the last 2-3 min sit out the rest of the series or the quarter.

I agree on the booth guy being more active on targeting calls. For example, how did neither target on the same play vs Whop at PSU seemingly not get looked at? Wake up up there!! A blind man could have seen it on replay. The TV guys sure thought it warranted it. That's where the booth guy is so important as the refs on field can't see everything in real time.

Some on BWI said cuz Whop dropped his head. At no point since the rule came about, have refs made that part of the criteria. Helmet to Helmet, regardless of intent or circumstances (ball carrier dropping head), HE GONE, has been the interpretation.

Anyone who has watched CFB since the rule was instituted has seen much less egregious hits result in ejections. Remember the joke of a call on a sack/fumble in '17 by Sykes, I believe, at UVA? Compare that to the Whop play. The 2 plays aren't even close, yet Sykes gets flagged, PSU guys don't.
