I was surfing YouTube earlier and came across the pregame show.
Looks like the show hasn’t changed much lol.
One thing that did stick out was the card section.
I was 10 in ‘67 and went to 3 or 4 games, one of my best childhood memories.
I remember the card section vividly, how cool would it be to bring it back.

One of my favorites was the Halftime Show last time we smashed KY up here from opening gun to finish... (the last time we played which put up for the series).

Even the blue and white clad obnoxious and alone drunk above us left late in the third. I like to believe it was the halftime show that was 100% " Let's make fun of the mildcats" that helped him along his booze sodden way...

It was close to cruel hilarity...!

Still chuckle when I think about it... 🤣

I was also 11 and went to 3/4 home games, including Purdue....

I found the video you referenced. Marching Hundred appears to have been much smaller then. Their marching was better than today's band but the overall production value left a lot to be desired....

One thing I noticed.....changes to the beginning and end if Indiana our Indiana and Indiana Fight. The modern versions are better.

I've seen videos of other BT bands like Illinois and Wisconsin from the '20s and '30s. Seems like IU's band was always smaller. Not sure why, other than IU's attendance was probably much smaller until the '60s or so.....

I was also at the Purdue game.
My most vivid memory was when Terry Cole scored on that long run I missed it because the people in front of me stood up.
By the time I got on top of my seat the play was over 😆

The card section was great. I also remember playing UCLA in the Rose Bowl and
their card section spelled out: Good Night Cinderella. lol

Because IU got stuck on the name, Marching 100.

Some more pictures of the card section & the band.

Thanks for posting that. It was quite a production. Very energetic. I've seen a video of OSU's band playing Indiana our Indiana, and they use that same fast tempo.

Interesting to compare with the video Bayern posted from '67.....'59 fastest; '67 slower but still fast; today, slower still.
