As a student from ‘95-‘99, the football team had a total of 11 wins during my four years.

1995: 2-9 Overall / 0-8 B1G
1996: 3-8 Overall / 1-7 B1G
1997: 2-9 Overall / 1-7 B1G
1998: 4-7 Overall / 2-6 B1G
Total: 11-33 Overall / 4-28 B1G

2024: *11-1 Overall / 8-1 B1G
- Pending bowls / playoff games

I must admit, I NEVER thought for a moment IUFB would have a season like this. IU football had as many wins in one season that they did in all four years I was there. 8 wins in league play is 2X more than we won while I was there. Just a special and remarkable season. I just hope we can make our new floor 7-8 wins and ceiling being in the playoffs each year, going to B1G conference championships and dare I say, competing for nat’l championships. Amazing and thank you Dolson and Coach Cig. What an amazing season!

My three years in Bloomington the football was horrible.
Basketball on the other hand was spectacular.
Proof that two things have changed in those 50 years. One is that football became good and it took 50 years. Two is that basketball has fallen far and that only took 30 years and has been irrelevant for the majority of the past 20 years.
