    IU Boosters/Donors

I'm gonna guess the list includes: John Mellencamp, Andy Mohr, the Cook family, the Simon-Skojt family and a transplanted Texan ironically named Cuban -- among many others.

    John Beilein

Ya know, in my mind, I can't figure out of it's good for an out-going AD to fire a coach of a flagship sport and then hire a replacement with whom the in-coming AD will have to live.

    Throwback Question for Old Timers

Not much new information, here: https://hoosierhuddle.com/hoosier-blog/hoosier-legacy-player-cornerback-tim-wilbur-1978-1982/2017/4/28 He is also on Facebook. He is apparently living in Indy and has worked at CDI College.

Just not seeing it being long for Archie

Well, I am NOT an athletic department insider but I presume he had evidence, like billing statements, to back him up.

Just not seeing it being long for Archie

As I recall, it was a grad student who was hired to monitor Sampson's phone use and bill.

    If no NCAA...

Let's be clear about one thing: I will never be an AD -- not at the high school down the road from me, much less at a place like IU. But -- if I were an AD candidate, would I want my first act to be firing the coach at the university's most-important sport? I think I would feel like my pick had...

    The OOC Scheduling Myth

Let's just stop, for a moment, and think: Which bowl game would be qualify for if our schedule included, say, Clemson, Alabama, LSU Oklahoma, O$U, Meatchicken, Meatchicken State and PSU? Because, I'm guessing none. With that schedule, we don't qualify for a bowl. I'm not sure we have many...

    End of game coaching

But, let's assume the play that unfolded is exactly what CAM drew up in the huddle. If so, then the ball came into an 84.4 percent free-throw shooter, who has attempted the third-most free throws for IU, this season.

I'll start throwing out the names......(10 to consider)

CTA will have this job filled well before May. Or, at least, he'd better! That would mean going through spring practice with no OC!

    Mike Hart

I think CTA has seen Mike Hart work (and work well, I would add!) and he knows if Mike Hart is ready to be an OC. While I would like to see IU hire someone with a track record, ultimately, I would trust his judgement, should he promote Coach Hart.

ESPN article says 25 bowls will be more entertaining than the Gator Bowl

Let's hope its a great day for a big part of our recruiting base, too!

Since we own PeeYew in football now can we still call it a rivalry?

Maybe they're paying Brohm so much for a 4-8 season tat they can't afford a groundskeeper?

    An observation

Be careful what you wish for, Fieldjock: I remember as far back as the '70s, when we said Big Ten refs were the nation's worst. And that usually played out in poor bowl game performances: Big Ten teams would come in and play Big Ten football, based on the calls they were used to Big Ten...

Just a little something to think about:

In Ann Arbor, they are no doubt building a yard arm for the coach they probably want to fire. In Bloomington, we are looking forward to cheering on our team and coach as they strive to tie to program record for most wins in a season. L.E.O. baby!

Don't forget Ben Raimondi! He spent 1947 with the New York (football) Yankees of the All-America Football Conference.

Are we close to any commits?

I will admit that I am no expert, but if you are choosing among Power 5 programs, I gotta believe the recruit's primary interests are facilities, playing time, ability to perform well in the coach's schemes and the coach's ability to get me ready for the NFL. Women probably don't hurt, though.
