Whether the FTC has the power to do this will be decided in court

It would be interesting to know what the average NIL "price" quality talent for each position goes for. QBs obviously top of the heap, so you should try to develop that talent yourself if you can. If there is good "value" at other positions you could rely on the portal.
Friggin excellent read
“4 season-ending injuries in 4 years, Mike. How do I reconcile that?”
Let’s get straight to it. Chances are this question has come up in your building. You may have even asked it yourself. Truth is, I don’t fault you for asking the question. Before I got into this...
Unfortunately I doubt CCC interested. He wants to see productivity and this guy hasn't demonstrated much.
2023 Season: Played in four games, mostly on special teams ... earned his second letter
2022 Season: Played in 11 games, seeing time as a reserve OLB and on special teams … made two...
My count so far is that 9 scholarship players have hit the portal since the Spring practices started: Blidi, Perry, Laing, Howland, Lowry, Bohler, Miller, Minor & Jefferies. Am I missing any?

Yeah, that would have to be guesswork. My assumption is that you could do pre-work on the best G5 players, anticipating many of them will hit the portal to see what NIL money they could get. That way you could try to get your foot in the door first for the ones you think could be the best fit...
It will be a daunting task to sort through the numerous players that will put themselves in the Spring transfer portal. To what degree, if any, do you think the IU coaching staff did prep work? If they did prep work, what did that look like? spend time over the last couple months evaluating game...
There will be a flood of players in the portal starting 4/15, which means many many transfer opportunities. Anyone leaving will have a shot of finding another team…as long as they are realistic about which schools are attainable and their NIL expectations are not too high.
