With Tatum out it would seem the Pacers, Cavs and Knicks are favorites to win the eastern conference. What should the Pacers do to get even better next season? Resign Turner (I’m iffy on this)? Get a lock down (or slow down) defender who can match up better with Mitchell and Alexander?

I sifted through some pages on the young man, some thoughts.


1. One page stated he was 7'3" without shoes, there was some variance though. 245 lbs so he's not a twig like Chet Holmgren.

2. He's a willing 3 point shot taker.

3. Maybe not the most fluid player on the perimeter, probably still smoothing out some rough edges acclimating into his big body.

4. Runs the floor well.

5. He will be 19 next Jan. Seems like a perfect reclass candidate.


Anybody know when his current Pro teams season ends?

Feels like if this young man wants to dip his feet into college basketball this Fall for a million plus in NIL, that IU would be the perfect and most suitable landing spot this summer, with a likely available roster spot, (Leal).

That is what Colin just said on the Herd, referencing Indiana. Obviously Clark coming to the Fever, and the Pacers thinking about doing the unthinkable has put a light on our great state for basketball again. Just no IU in site.

This has been a hard last few decades. Pretty incredible that so many have hung on this long, but father time is undefeated and more and more young people have no idea about what once was. There is not much juice going into this season, frankly there shouldn't be. Too many times IU has puffed their chest in the offseason just to deliver a 9th place .500 record bubble team.

Didn't we bury the guy upside down? Can we please be good at basketball again? Just my ramblings on an Indiana basketball weekend without a mention of my hoosiers.
