Can one of legal minds on here explain to me how her explaining how she fcked Trump and how much she hates him has anything to do with how payments to her were posted by Trump’s accountants?

The first unbiased judge that hears the appeal on this case will throw it out.

I believe if Trump would have paid her directly instead of running it though his business then it would not be a campaign violation. Honestly if it was a campaign violation it should have been brought in a federal court not a state court regarding a national election.

And the feds looked at this and didn’t charge.

I understand the hate for Trump but this bastardization of our legal system is going to have long term ramifications and will haunt the Democratics.

to establish the reasons for the payments, and the apparent George Costanza pose also would lead one to try to hush someone up.

Maybe if Trump hadn't claimed that he didn't fck her then they may not have needed to prove otherwise.

They are likely establishing the fact that Trump did the deed so that they can later prove he covered up that deed in order to protect his election chances.

If Trump had been honest, then stormy may not have been needed. So blame your boy trump

It is hilarious that you think unbiased means biased for trump. Also hilarious that trumper Cannon is the only judge getting overturned multiple times on appeal. You are complaining about the wrong judge.

The problem is that the Investigation started around 2018 when Trump was POTUS. The DOJ/ SDNY was full of Trump supporters who worked to sabotage the case from within. That's according to Geoffrey Berman who was fired by Barr/Trump because he wanted to pursue charges not just vs Cohen, but possibly Trump as well...

Berman discovered that he had "resigned" from press releases in June 2020...

"Berman’s firing caps a remarkable 24 hours that encompassed a power struggle over the leadership of the most prominent prosecutors’ office outside Washington – one that has prosecuted one of Trump’s lawyers, is investigating another and has probed the activities of the President himself.

During a meeting at a Manhattan hotel in New York on Friday, Barr had asked Berman to resign, but Berman refused, CNN reported, and hours later Barr issued a statement saying Berman had “stepped down.” Two hours later, around 11 p.m. ET, on Friday, Berman said he had learned of his purported exit from a press release."

To anyone perplexed as to why Barr would still plan to vote for Trump after publicly condemning him, I would maintain that is a continuation of Barr's actions any time Trump was actually threatened with legal consequences. He issued the phoney summary of the Mueller report to set the narrative prior to it's release. He was complicit in Trump's desire to fire Berman after Berman's refusal to exclude Rudy and Trump from possible inclusion in the Cohen case.

And yet to hear ignorant Trumpers tell it, the "weaponization" of the DOJ is a Biden/Garland invention.People either have etxremely short memories, they're hypocrits who engage in disingenuous tactics or both...

Btw Berman is a Republican and was a Trump nominee.

And Jack Smith is an Independent who started his career prosecuting mob cases. Experience prosecuting mobsters seems to be a common thread among folks trying to bring Trump to accountability.

I'm sure that's just a coincidence...

Wow you're dumb. He used his own money. Imagine if he had used campaign funds to pay off a porn star.

Trump steals so much from his campaign funds that it would be a distinction without much difference.

Hell, Florida GOP tried to find a way to pay for Trump's legal bills.

They have to establish the underlying acts that precipitated the payments they claim are criminal. Absent video of their encounter, the best way to do that is to have her on the stand.

The Feds turned down the case.
It's all bullshit, as non-psychos have been telling you.

Def the weakest part of the case. What Trump did was clearly a criminal misdemeanor. But upgrading it to a felony based on a campaign finance violation strains reason.

And Benedict Arnold 'started out' as a loyal officer.

That's ridiculously dumb. They must establish that Trump and Stormy had sex. The case doesn't exist without it.

It is true that superfluous details about the sex could be too prejudicial, but that's why the judge set severe limits on how much she could say.
When the defendant denies having sex with the other then someone has to connect the dots. I find it incredible that Trump just won't admit he had a fling with her, as it makes him look silly and dishonest.

She had to testify because Trump lied about it and said he had no relationship with her that she was lying. She could also go the E Jean Carrol route.

Disastrous testimony? For whom? Trump? I hope aeric was proud listening to his daddy’s f buddy. But at least some of his family was there. Quite unusual that no one shows up to support him during his trials. Also interesting that even 20 years ago he and Melania didn’t even share a room, let alone a bed. She hates him, like any other sane person.

That's not different from any other day. Poorly applied facial makeup, ridiculous hair with a ton of hair spray, wears girdles and high heels ...

He's either a broke down circus clown or one lip stick swipe away from being an aged transvestite queen..
You forgot the diaper.

Why did judge seeM to indicate her testimony close to mistrial then?

The judge had to allow evidence of the sex, because the fact of the sex was in dispute and resolving that dispute is essential to the case. However, allowing discussion of the sex that goes beyond simply the fact of it could be prejudicial against Trump, say by embarrassing him in the eyes of the jury. That's why the judge kept her testimony in a very narrow lane.

And he didn't seem to indicate that it was close to a mistrial. He explicitly said it didn't rise to that level, even if he was critical of how far out into the weeds she got while answering some questions.

Whores, you just can't trust em.

He told Trump's lawyers that he was surprised they didn't object more, noting that he had sustained (nearly?) all their objections in the morning session. When the came back after lunch screaming for a mistrial over the (lack of) condom reference (I think that's what they were complaining about) he wasn't buying it. Said he'll instruct the jury appropriately when the time comes.

The stench was probably too much for her. He's been said to smell like a gag-inducing combination of B.O. and feces. Who knows. Maybe he was even doing an Amber Heard imitation - - dropping a deuce in the bed.

What would the lack of condom reference change?

Is the lack of a condom where we draw the line? Lol
