Poll: Why do you respond to obvious troll postings?

Knowing that a trolls ultimate (only) goal is validation through feedback (positive, negative, ANYTHING) why would you respond to their post knowing it will only increase their activity on the board?

Is that t possible to select more than one response? And is it possible to have an “other” choice, followed by a place for commentary?

For me there are two reasons.

One: the forum used to be a lot better and many good posters were chased away by a few trolls…lead by one career troll we are all familiar with

Two: and I know I shouldn’t, but it is good entertainment to smack some of these clowns around on occasion.

Although, there are some trolls I like to keep around because they're not good trolls and it's easy to make fun of them.
