Seriously, I think if they had Jesus at QB they'd win NC's every year.
He used up all of his eligibility at Nazareth Tech
With the extra year of eligibility (Covid) and an additional redshirt season for a lot of guys, it's not unusual anymore for college players to be this old. Tommy DeVito (now on the Giants) played QB for Illinois last year at 24.
I just quickly checked our roster. We have several guys who have been playing college ball since 2018. The second player listed on the roster, Noah Pierre, turns 24 next month.
.... and moved to the next level.
We have 2 starting players this year who are in their 6th year, so it's not that unusual with the Covid year and a redshirt.
I had completely forgotten that ND was playing today until I saw that there was a big celebration tonight over at Assembly Hall with many of the IU basketball fans wearing their ND gear and waving shamrock flags around. Pretty big event at IU.
Chris weinke was 25 his freshman year at FSU. Dude looked like an uncle already.
Didn't our own ally patburg play 7 years? Because of covid it's not uncommon right now
since NIL and the transitioning of college sports to pro, how long before some player sues the NCAA or whomever that restricting their eligibility to X yrs is a restraint of trade?
