Focusing on the offense, the oline went from a C- to a F-. It really is hard to believe they've regressed to this degree. I blame 90% of this on lousy coaching, absolutely lousy coaching. When key players such as Jones and Bedford peaked two years ago, that's lousy development/coaching.
The WR room seems to be suffering from a lack of development/focus. Fryfogle's lackluster season speaks strongly to this being true. Losing Matthews against WKU obviously killed this room, too. There's still a lack of development with this group that is obvious.
QB play went from high level/elite with a healthy Penix, to bottom of the barrel. The QB room is in complete disarray, no other way to accurately describe that room. I thought it was interesting yesterday in the play calling when McCulley was in the game versus when Gremel was under center.....They clearly haven't readied McCulley for live action.
Allen should've fired Sheridan after the Rutgers debacle and put DeLand or Wright into the interim OC role. It's difficult to decide whether Sheridan is more inept as a QB coach or as an OC.
