Jim Coyle was wondering what Purdue will do next year.

On the Jim Bob & John Boy Show, Jimmy talking elite.
Well, Purdue already has all of their elite talent. We lost
Mt. Edey, but reloaded easily.

Gone: Edey, Jones, Morton(portal), Gillis(portal)
Still need one more to go. No Portal Needed.
Our Elite Players are;
Elite Returning:
Will "The Ice" Berg RS-So 7'2"
Caleb Furst Sr 6'10" (Por...?)
Trey Kaufman-Renn RS-Jr 6'9"
Camden Heide RS-So 6'7"
Brian Waddell RS-Jr 6'7"
Myles Colvin So 6'5"
Fletcher Loyer Jr 6'4"
Braden Smith Jr 6'1"

Our Elite incoming players:
Daniel Jacobsen Fr 7'3"
Raleigh Burgess Fr 6'10"
Kanon Catchings Fr 6'8"
Jack Benter Fr 6'5"
Gicarri Harris Fr 6'4"
CJ Cox Fr 6'2"

I hear Sisley is a Purdue lean for 2025.

So, does the media think Purdue will stink w/o Edey?
Let's see: Way too-early top 25 polls for 2024-25 have Purdue at:
Fox Sports, John Fanta: #9
The Athletic: #12
ESPN: #6
USA Today: #9
SI: #8
The Sporting News, Mike DeCourcy: #9
Field of 68: #10
24/7: #9
My favorite, Yahoo Sports: #2

I know it's early, but it feels good to be highly regarded.
Tried to find Indiana, but nowhere to be found.
Oh well, Woody will get you there with Trey & Anthony.
Boiler Up!
75-60.

That future “elite” talent could only muster 23 points. The once in a generation talent you had is gone and if you need to depend on the 23 point guys, good luck.

Funny, IU fans would kill to have Loyer on your team.
I was LMAO this year listening to untrue Hoosier fans bitching
and moaning. Would've been nice to win it all, but being
2nd out of 362 teams, while everyone else was sitting at home
on their asses, ain't too shabby. I was excited. Weren't you, true fans.

Don't forget, Purdue Spring Game Sat 12pm BTN.
Boiler Up! True Fans, in Woody we trust!
And, don't forget to Google it!
Loyer needs to lift weights and bulk up over the summer. If so, perhaps he can come in next season at 150.

Doesn't Purdue have its own board?

Nine threads about Purdue on page one of this forum, and your accusation is that Purdue fans are desperate? Too funny. All of you.

Threads are alive and well because of you guys here sobbing for our respect. Have always known what we think matters a lot to you but never did I expect you guys to focus so heavily on what we thought once you reached the FF.

Enlightening.

I would not be so quick to write-off Edey at the next level. He grew up playing baseball and hockey in Canada. Did not really play basketball until he went to IMG Academy in Florida. He was a three star recruit and ended up as the two-time player of the year.

No we just like poking you and hear you whine. Its entertaining as hell.

This thread once again proves it's a bitch being a PUke. Even in a year an anomaly makes you daydream.
Still 5-0 and still boiled over.

College basketball is pretty different from the NBA: NBA isn't a lumbering big man league. Defensive 3 seconds by itself will be really tough on Edey: can't just camp out 5 feet from the bucket anymore. Less shot clock time makes it harder to set up posts. It will be a difficult jump from the minors.

Haha. Like William Berg is going to replace Edey. Good luck with that. PS. Are you lost?

Totally different game....Different pace...speed. As you mentioned---shorter shot clock. PNR is a staple---he cant do either defensively, or offensively. Never seen him take ONE jump shot in 4 years. No dribbling skills...NBA is full of 6'9-6'10 dudes that can lead the break off of rebounds....Guys he will have to run with---defend.

I don't see it.
