Great call ptrich! I'd really like it if in the future we could recruit someone with a name as cool as Seaver King. He'd be a fan favorite!

Some names really are great. There was a minor league first baseball named Rock Shoulder that unfortunately never made the majors. The Red Sox had a farmhand named Ethan Faggett and I can only imagine the abuse that he took wherever he played.

Out of D1's top 150 pitchers going into the new season, IU had one pitcher on it, and it was Brayden Risedorph at No. 101. All three rotation pitchers for Iowa were on it with Brecht coming in at No. 4 overall.

I always thought Razor Shines, who previously played for the Indianapolis Indians, had a great name. The Indians recently announced his No. 3 jersey would be retired by them after he spent nine seasons with them.

Is Mitchell hurt? Haven't seen his name in any of the box scores. Thought he was one of IU's top outfielders.
