To remain in the US on a student or any other Visa if you are a member of a terrorist organization or openly support a terrorist organization and break laws in the US?

Is it legal to run for president after inciting an insurrection?
Yes to both. Rights don't just disappear. The government has to follow a process to take them from you.

Enh, I think on the first option though that a student visa could be revoked for about any reason the US would wish. A foreign student has no "right" to an education in the US nor do they have a "right" to remain here should we change our mind. I think if the government said they participated in a riot and were found chanting messages against the US that the boot would be pretty easy to apply to a foreign national.

That wasn't the question. The question is whether or not it is legal for the student to remain. And until the government goes through the appropriate process of revoking the visa, the answer is yes.

Exactly. The US should be using existing laws to expel those students from the US. Any US citizen who breaks a law while protesting should be arrested and charged.

This Visa thread is similar to a caller on C Span this morning who contended there are 11 million illegal immigrants in the country who are here illegally on behalf of China, Iran, and North Korea.

Bottom line: Trump and conservatives are strong when it comes to law and order regarding immigration and visas. Biden and progressives are weak

Whether you believe or reject the bottom line depends on whether you consider yourself to be a conservative or progressive.

I think we are in for a wild ride after November.

It doesn't matter.... they think if they keep saying it enough it will be true.

If not an insurrection, what would you call the events of that day?

Would you go along with "attempted (bloodless) coup"?

“Events of that day” nails it.
It was merely a demonstration. No one tried to overthrow the executive branch, the legislative branch or the Supreme Court. The military was not attacked, military leaders were not killed, and there were no attempts to take over any military institutions or bases. There was much more destruction and death in Minneapolis, Chicago and LA. Calling January 6th is just a figment propagated by those drunk on biden's kool-aid.

You living in a box or just have your head in the sand?

Might want to look up definition of insurrection before tossing out yabbuts
You should do the same. Can you link anyone charged and convicted of insurrection 1-6? If not, stfu about your imaginary insurrection. Kibish?

Who gives a shit if any of those "hostages" were charged with insurrection. Look up the definition. Just because prosecutors felt a conviction was easier with other charges doesn't change the facts

Just because it failed and probably had little chance of success once Pence grew some balls doesn't change anything
