Hart has settled in; worked out of jam (single & walk) in the 4th. Ramos and Hartong singled to open the inning (Donley GO moves them ahead), Sowers walked to load the bases, Dedelow SF gets a run in to tie. IU left two stranded on 1st and 2nd.
Nebraska beat Purdue (Friday game rescheduled to Monday) and moved into a tie with Indiana for 7th in B10.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.
-- Indiana tied its series with Long Beach State with a 7-2 win on Saturday evening at Bart Kaufman Field, setting up a rubber match Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET.

The Hoosiers found themselves in a 2-0 hole after the opening inning, but scored a run in three of the next four frames to take a 3-2 lead and then added four runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure the victory and knot up the series at one game apiece.

IU retired 15 of Long Beach State's 16 final batters, allowing just one hit after the fourth inning. Starting LHP Kyle Hart earned the win (3-0) and RHP Scott Effross earned his first save of the season, as the two combined to allow just five total hits.

The Dirtbags got on the board in the first inning with a two-out two-run home run. Hart, Effross and the Hoosiers wouldn't allow another score the rest of the way for the opposition.

Sophomore Craig Dedelow, who matched a career high with four RBI to lead IU, gave the Hoosiers a boost with a solo home run in the second inning to pull the home team within one.

Indiana loaded the bases in the fourth inning, but only managed to tie the game at two on Dedelow's sacrifice fly.

Casey Rodrigue's RBI single gave Indiana the lead for good in the fifth, before the Hoosiers cashed in during the eighth inning to insure a win, scoring all of their final four runs with two outs in the stanza.

Senior Scott Donley matched Dedelow for the team lead with two hits, including an RBI single that put the Hoosiers ahead, 4-2. Dedelow doubled for the third time this series to bring in two more runs and Will Nolden's RBI single capped off IU's scoring for a 7-2 lead and final score.
