How long do you win the plain games you must win win to stay relevant?
How long do you win "meaningful" games that make a difference in your ceiling?
Are you still in it in February?

We're still in it - but the next big test is next.

Important wins to me (maybe not you) - just "showed me something" games that led me to "raise the ceiling":

SMU - Larry Brown is still Larry Brown
Pitt - Decent team. I respect Dixon
Ahia State - Tough game requiring tough play until the end. Matta.
Illinois - For different reasons. Another game requiring tough play til 00:00, on the road, soon after the OSU game. Sustained toughness? 3 wins in a row. Signs of anything?

Bad losses to me (maybe not you) - games that made me lower the ceiling:

This is cheating, but all of 'em.
At the time E. Washington seemed a disaster. They have 9 wins since, but none "impressive."
Two 20 point losses to historically tough programs with HOF coaches. "We can't be elite"
A "we're tougher than you" punch in the mouth from Georgetown.

Is this still a team that would lose the UofL or MSU games by 20?
I don't think so. I think they have matured and are a little tougher.
Still flawed but improved.
Right now, I'd give them a higher ceiling than I would have even two weeks ago.
Will we continue the improvement or not?

The pressure never lets up if you win.
Can we handle it?
A 3-0 week means you gotta beat Maryland to sustain the improvement.
Beat Maryland and the pressure to win at Ahia State goes up.
Can't be frantic and win these.
Gotta be just plain tough and ready and feel bullet-proof.

Big week.
Will February have meaning, or is "spoiler" our ceiling?
Stay tuned sports fans.
