Indiana showed up in a big way in Wednesday's win over North Carolina and it was a big recruiting day as well.

Here is a list of the visitors that were in attendance:

IU signee Gabe Cupps

IU signee Jakai Newton (senior year official)

2024 five-star forward Flory Bidunga

2024 four-star guard Jonathan Powell

2025 five-star guard Meleek Thomas

2025 four-star guard Jalen Haralson

2025 four-star forward Trent Sisley

2025 four-star guard Trey McKenney

The reaction from most of them was great.

Here are a few quotes and reactions:

Gabe Cupps: "It was sweet. Definitely jumping in assembly. It was about what I expected with all the hype surrounding that game. It’s always super cool every time. The feeling of the environment never gets old. "

Jakai Newton’s mom: "Assembly Hall did not disappoint! The guys did great! The energy was incredible! What an experience! To think, not too long from now, my baby will part of that legacy...WOW!!"

Jakai Newton: “Game was lit. First time experiencing something like that”

Meleek Thomas' trainer/mentor: "Unreal!! Has to be the best college basketball environment in the country! Electric. Meleek was smiling ear to ear the entire time! He was pumped"

Trent Sisley's dad: "Amazing. Game was great. Great to talk with all coaches and aau teammates. Fun night. I’ve been to big10 acc challenge before at IU. It matched it. IU defense and intensity was the best I’ve seen. Meeting with former players and coaches in lounge was cool."

Jalen Haralson: "Crazy, just crazy. I knew it was going to be crazy because obviously IU is a top 10 team this year and the chance of playing against another top tier team is exciting and will bring the fans and energy out, but seeing it up close was unreal!"

Trey McKenney: "Great atmosphere. It was crazy at the game. I haven't seen anything like that ever."

2024 top-100 forward Raleigh Burgess of Sycamore (OH) tells TheHoosier.com he will be back to Indiana on Jan. 28 for Indiana's game against Ohio State.

He hs visited Indiana numerous times now. He has one official planned, and that is to Stanford.

Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Xavier, Purdue some of the main programs.

TheHoosier.com's Kyler Staley has seen Burgess numerous times:

"Standing at 6-foot-10, Burgess is a power forward that has incredible movement, solid footwork, and a high IQ at his position. Pretty versatile big that can do a little bit of everything and score at multiple levels. Although he can score from the outside, he is at his best around the basket where he can use his strength and physical play around the rim. Very consistent on the defensive end and has some solid shot blocking ability. Overall just a well-rounded player on both ends that continues to show improvement."

---

2024 five-star Montverde (Fl) forward Asa Newell continues to keep an eye on Indiana and that interest is building more and more. The way Malik Reanau and Jalen Hood-Schifino are playing to begin the season is notable in this recruitment.

Newell has already taken an official visit and unofficial visit to Indiana.

One to keep an eye on for Indiana.

He scored 17 points last night in Montverde's win over IMG. Have a very good start to the season.

---

Another development that continues is the interest from 2024 top-60 guard Tyler Betsey of St. Thomas More (CT). They are eyeing a visit to Indiana this month.

Betsey plays with five-star guard Dylan Harper for NY Rens on the AAU circuit.

Duke, Rutgers, Indiana, UConn are the main programs involved here at the moment.

He is best known for his shooting ability but he is a very good defender as well. Your typical two-way player at the moment.

"The unique thing about Tyler is he always wants to guard the opponent's top scorer," St. Thomas More coach Jere Quinn said. "He never plays sped up. He plays at a great pace...he's a young kid, a happy kid, and he enjoys the team aspect. The really great thing about him is his work ethic."

More on Betsey from our Rutgers affiliate. He is coming off of an unofficial visit to Rutgers.:

2025 guard Ty Price of Butler County (Ky) has set an unofficial visit to Indiana on Dec. 7 for IU's game against Nebraska, he confirmed to TheHoosier.com. He plays for Bradley Beal Elite on the AAU circuit.

As a freshman, he averaged 17.2 points per game and shot 40.3 percent from three with 85 made 3s.

---

2025 forward from Lloyd Memorial (Ky) EJ Walker really enjoyed his Indiana visit last week. He has now visited twice (Hoosier Hysteria) and continues to enjoy his time in Bloomington.

---
