Harry Shearer as Nixon in Nixon's The One is a must watch for anyone who finds Richard Nixon to be fascinating. The series ( 7 episodes of about 22 minutes each) is taken directly from the Nixon Oval Office tapes so you know the dialogue is accurate. On top of this, Shearer and the other members of the cast spent many hours listening to the tapes in order to get the inflections, the pauses, the places were people talked over each other down pat.
Harry Shearer doesn't look much like Nixon even with the makeup and custom made suits, but Shearer is an excellent impersonator so after awhile the viewer grows accustomed to Shearer's portrayal.
